The Pickle Factory is tucked away at the corner of Tobacco and Electric Alley, less than an 8-minute drive from downtown Cincinnati, 5-minute drive from the Newport Aquarium, and a 3-minute walk away from the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. It's conveniently located within walking distance of local eateries, live music, coffee shops, breweries and bars, a food market, many local shops. Here at the corner of Electric Alley, we take our fun seriously. Inspired by the street outside, as well as the iconic Cincinnati restaurant Terry’s Turf Club (completely lit by neon signs), this room is devoted to the wonders of bright light. Relax and unwind in this oasis of delight, with quirky details like blue and yellow tile grout, a monkey chandelier, and wooden musical instruments to channel your inner musician. This is a one bedroom with a queen bed, full bathroom, large window with natural light, living area with TV, updated kitchen with two-burner stove, mini-fridge, and necessary amenities. Guest will receive door codes for direct access to the front entry to building and their rooms for key - less self check in via email after booking and signing our terms and agreement policy. If you need any assistance, we are a message away! Access to the apartment is limited to registered guests only. Any visitors must be approved by the host and may not stay overnight. Our interaction with you is minimal unless you need us. In that case, we can be there in minutes! The history of this newly renovated building has been uniquely woven into every detail of the design of each room. At different points in time, it was a soft drink factory, a pickle factory, and one of the first African-American Odd Fellows lodges so the theme of each room embodies the building's character. Covington, KY is a historic city, founded in 1815, full of stunning architecture, rich history, and people who treasure it enough to bring it back to life. In recent years, Covington has seen a rise in trendy eateries, local artists, and growing businesses. It has a city feel and opportunities within a small town size and comfort. The downstairs of the Pickle Factory is a bourbon blending experience called Wenzel Whiskey that can be reserved for private parties! Most exploring is in walking distance or are just a short drive away from this place. If driving more than one car, there is street parking or garage parking at the Midtown Parking Garage, also known as the 5th Street Parking. It's an easy walk down Electric Alley until you see the building on the left-hand side. We require all guests to sign our rental agreement before receiving check in instructions. As always, we recommend guests exercise common sense and safety while walking between destinations throughout the city.
