The Nice Big House is perfect for families / groups who are on a budget and simply need more space and don’t want to pay for luxury & ocean views. This semi-remote Hawaiian rental is for guests who want to visit Kehena Beach, local eruption sites, lava fields and gorgeous coastal roads & views. Take note that we are located just 16 miles from Pahoa town in a nice / safe coastal community called Kalapana-Seaview Estates near Kehena black sand beach - which is 5 minutes. This is a fully furnished 3 bedroom/1.5 bath town house style home w/ ‘your space all to yourself' . It has a full kitchen and 1 and half baths . It has a nice ocean view in the distance ( 10 blocks away). You can see the beautiful Puna coast from the 3rd floor. Amenities include free phone, free 1 GPS Fioptic Wi-Fi internet, and / Roku (3) 40-55 inch TV’s flat screen TV's & free Netflix in . Parking is FREE by your front door This is a unit w/ 3 bedrooms which also has attached private rented studios w/ private entry on the side of the building. That’s why you save when you rent from us. You do have the privacy of your own locked space - all to yourself. It has a fully equipped kitchen. (Pots, pans, plates, utensils and all linen/ towels / TP are included.) Most people love it. The place is located in a typical Hawaiian neighborhood with a mix of modern and Hawaiian homes near some black sand beaches and within walking distance of Kehena Beach ( adult). It’s just a 10 - 15 minute drive to the NEW Pohoiki Family Beach just 7 miles away. Pohoiki has three warm ponds and is great for family gatherings. There are two life guard towers as well. If you are on a BUDGET and needing a fully furnished private space - this is it! Please note that there is no aircon (which is rarely needed) in this area anyways as the home is well ventilated. This is another way that ‘ you save’. There are fans provided. Typical night time temps are in the 60’s. 70-80 during the day. There is a washer/dryer. We also have 'PACK & PLAY ON THE GO CRIB' for little ones when requested. Parking is free - next to your front door. Puna is also a great place to stay due to the recent eruption - 3 NEW beaches were created! ( Pohoiki - Family Beach - easy to get to. Mackenzie & Kapoho - must hike to. Kaimu Beach is an easy 20 minute hike from Uncles Awa Bar. Puna also has periodic lava flows from Kilauea Volcano , the Hawaiian jungles, tropical rain forests, beautiful coastal views, This is also the place for water lovers and we have what you need : snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, noodles for your swimming pleasure... You can easily navigate Kehena Beach from the house, it has come to be a very popular spot 'right in the center of all of these attractions'. Coastal tide pools are just down the road towards Pohoiki. Now, for those of you who are seeking night time entertainment, check out 'Uncles Tiki Bar' if you want to sip a beer and listen to live Hawaiian/Jawaiian/Country music..just down the road from us. A farmers market w/ live music, dancing is available every Wednesday 3.5 miles away. We have 'PACK & PLAY ON THE GO CRIB' for little ones. Washer/dryer, internet, phone, Direct TV and outdoor barbecues. You will love it here! Guest access We have self check in and we provide the passcode for the private entry 1-3 days prior to arrival or sooner upon request. Nobody shares or has access to your space so it is completely private. Other things to note Why is this the best place for families on a budget. Explanation: This is a private large modern style ‘apt like’ building. There is also a small private rented studio continuously off to the side of the building and another private studio is rented from time to time as well. When available, you can even expand your space w/ the studio for an added fee. ******LAVA NEWS****** VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK is open Kehena Beach is walking distance and ( Isaac Hale) POHOIKI FAMILY BEACH & warm ponds - a short drive down our road ...is open to public.
