One block from the charming village of Kona and a block from Honl's beach, this is one of the few locations on the Big Island where you can get to everything you need without a car. There are lots of great restaurants nearby including Huggo's, On the Rocks, Bongo Ben's Island Cafe, Island Ono Loa Grill, Kanaka Kava, The Kona Inn, and more. Go for drinks at happy hour at Huggos or On the Rocks and watch the sun set over the ocean at discount prices. You can also eat beachside at Huggo's and enjoy the live hula music. If you are looking for something lively, try Don's Mai Tai Bar which is just a couple of doors down in the Royal Kona Inn, and has live music every night. Or for morning (or afternoon!) caffeine, Island Lava Java and (a bit further) Kona Coffee Cafe can both deliver. No car? No problem. Walk to everything. An oceanfront sidewalk takes you a couple of blocks downtown, or head south for the beach. The complex is right near a bus stop or you can rent bikes, scooters, take a taxi, or of course, an Uber or Lyft.
