These features may tempt you to laze at the resort with its tropical grounds, heated pool, spa, and BBQ/picnic area. Adjacent to the Marina are shops, restaurants, the Maui Aquarium, and a family-fun venue with mini golf and more. Sugar Beach is just to the east. It is a section of sandy serenity, a couple of miles and a bit more, that takes you North Kihei where you can get some eats and treats before you head back to home-base, physically and mentally refreshed. You may know that Ma’alaea is at the base of the isthmus that divides east from west Maui. You may realize that as such, you can easily venture forth from there to enjoy the full assortment of Maui attractions with low commute times (15 to 40 minutes) to: Kihei, Wailea, and Makena, Lahaina and Kaanapali, Kahului and Paia, and Makawao.
