Located right beyond the St. Tammany Parish line, The Peace of Soul Treehouse is located in a semi-remote location. Approx Oct-Mar the property will likely be more tranquil. In Apr-Sept, you’ll hear traffic and likely see tubers and kayakers living their best life in the river throughout the day when weather permits. We are located 1 hour and 15 min from New Orleans International Airport. • The space is intentionally unplugged with NO TV, NO WiFi. Cell service may be spotty. Verizon works great. • We closely monitor the river's water levels but cannot control mother nature. The river level determines the size of the sandbar. • If the river level causes the property to become inaccessible via the public road, you will be offered an opportunity to rebook or a refund. • The house in the trees is in the woods; Along with our beautiful riverfront view comes animals, bugs, and insects. We try to keep the indoors free of any of these, please help us by not leaving food or crumbs around. Our home is best suited for those who enjoy being amongst nature. • The property is near a couple of properties with part time residents and is near a seasonal tubing and kayaking rental business. In summer, you will hear and see people in the river living their best lives. In winter, you may not see another soul the entire trip. You will likely hear vehicles traveling on the nearest road at a distance. • We do not provide firewood or coal, although you are more than welcome to use any that previous guests may have left behind. Please grab some when you purchase your groceries. • Our property was built as a fishing camp. We supply portable heaters and extra blankets, but our home may not be as heated as your home would be.
