Cozy, Private Guest Suite & Backyard Oasis

Enjoy a peaceful stay in our private basement suite. You'll love the tall ceilings, natural light, and watching wildlife in our backyard! Private entrance from the back patio, & off-street parking for 1 car. Includes: 1 bedroom with queen bed, bathroom with shower/tub, full kitchen, living room with futon couch, floor mattress, and pack 'n play. Ask for pet policy before booking. If interested in a blocked date, message me (new job=less weekly availability). 10% discount for educators 🏫❤️. Other things to note This is a private basement suite located in our home. You do not share any indoor space with our family, but the backyard is a shared space. We have young children whom you WILL hear running around above you, and making other general noises, but we are quiet between the hours of 8:30pm - 6:30am. We also have a dog so you may hear some occasional barking, but normally he's pretty quiet. He is friendly towards other animals and people. House rules: Guest quiet hours are between 10pm - 6am. Please, no shoes on the carpet. No smoking or vaping (not even outside). No loud music. No parties. If you plan to bring a pet with you, you must let us know in advance so we can send you our pet policy. Please note, you may NOT leave pets unattended in the house. Checking In: You can check-in starting at 3pm; if you need an earlier check-in time please ask and I'll let you know if we can accommodate you. If you arrive late at night, I can have the futon couch, twin floor mattress, or pack n play set up and ready for you if you let me know what you need in advance. Lock: We have a smart lockbox that is synced with the Airbnb app. You'll receive an automated message the morning of check-in with your access code and directions for how to use it. Parking: You are welcome to park in the overflow section of our driveway to the left of the garage by the basketball hoop and garbage cans. Please make sure to park your car so it's not blocking our garage. You can also park along the NORTH side of the street (the side that's opposite our house). If you park on the south side of the street you risk getting towed. Access: You will need to walk around to the back of our house (from either side) to get to the guest suite. There are no stairs, but you will have to walk down (and back up) a well-maintained grassy slope. The grass can be slick if wet or snowy, so extra caution is advised. While we welcome people of all abilities to stay with us, the slope may provide challenges for those who are older and/or less mobile. Entertainment: WiFi information is located on the letter board above the desk. We have a Roku TV in the living room that has guest mode enabled. This allows you to log-in to your own streaming accounts like Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, etc. to access your content, and will automatically log you out on the date of your choice. Please come prepared with your account information and passwords if you choose to utilize this option. The bedroom TV has live TV channels. Checkout is 11am. We ask that you load and start the dishwasher before leaving (it's not noisy, so any hour is fine), and put used towels in the hamper. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
