The space This classic Cambridge house underwent an award-winning restoration in 2010. Historic on the outside, 'classic' modern on the inside, with all the comforts of a new home. Large, well-equipped kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances opens up to large dining and living room. 2 bathrooms: one with full bath tub and marble vanity top, and another with oversized shower. Bright rear bedroom has queen bed, dresser, big closet, and opens onto a large private deck (note: under renovation spring 2023). The second bedroom has two twin beds, 2 extra mattresses under the beds, a desk, dresser, and a walk-in closet. Washer and dryer in the unit. Wi-fi and internet smart TV. A rare location: quiet, tree-lined one-way street but easy walking distance to everything: Restaurants, pubs, and Wine & Cheese shop literally around the corner. Wholefoods Market, Walgreens, and more restaurants & cafés a couple of blocks away. Harvard Square with shops, restaurants and nightlife is 10-15 min walk and from there the train takes 10 mins to downtown Boston. Steps to Inman Square (5 min walk) Harvard Yard & Harvard Law (10 mins); Union Square (10 mins) MIT / Kendall Square and Central Square (20-30 min). Guest access The entire apartment (around 1000 sq ft / 100 m2) plus a large private deck overlooking landscaped garden and a brick patio with teak furniture. You can use the garden and patio by arrangement (we are happy to share) Parking by arrangement only- see below under Other Things to Note. Other things to note Parking: we can arrange parking. Our street is resident parking only, like most of Cambridge and Boston. If you bring a car, here are the 3 options for parking: 1. You can use our visitor's permit by arrangement 3 consecutive days ( if you go over the City may fine you $30). If you lose our visitor permit, we have to charge a $100 replacement fee to cover city fees and much hassle. 2. Rent our driveway next to the house for $20/day while we put our car on the street. Compact & midsize cars work and a minivan/SUV may squeeze in - driveway is 9.5' wide. By arrangement ahead of time please. 3. Park on the metered parking spots 1-2 blocks away. (metered 8AM-8PM).
