Stylish, romantic & cozy getaway! 2.5 blocks to gorgeous sunsets on a secluded bay beach! Linens, towels & Turkish beach towels provided. This quaint & quirky house is the perfect place for an adult respite (only non-crawling infants & kids 5 yrs & up). Stocked w/ everything you need: hot tub, gas fireplace, beach supplies, bikes, bar cart, seasonal outdoor shower, 2 fire pits, picnic table, screened in porch w/dining table & lounge area! Fun, seasonal beach bar (Harpoons) walking distance! The space -PLEASE REVIEW: **See our off season discounts on the calendar: 3 days= 10% off. 4 days = 15% off 7 days = 20% off** 1) Occupancy, mobility issues and kids: Please do not exceed 4 guests. The house is 800 square feet so if you're coming with 4 people, make sure you love your travel mates. This is not a house for small children or people who have mobility issues with stairs. The 10 step stairs are very steep, only have one handrail and are completely open upstairs (see pics). There are many breakable items staged throughout. Children 5 years and up are welcome. Babies who do not crawl or climb are also welcome. 2) Quirks and Cozy Features: Please review pics of smaller bedroom with the queen bed (not a spacious room), the open-air full bath with swinging doors and the VERY small half bath. We can close the door to the bathroom while using the toilet because we're under 6 feet, but we've had some taller folks say they weren't able to. 3) Ants: Our neighborhood is built on a sand dune and has a high-water table which is a favorable environment for ants (not the biting kind). We have the outside sprayed professionally in the Spring and we spray the inside w/ all-natural non-toxic spray (which we also provide for your use) and hide non-toxic ant traps throughout. This usually mitigates any issue but there is an occasional siting. That said, if you have a phobia of ants, Saltbox is probably not the best fit. 4) Bay Beach: We are a 5 min walk to a gorgeous bay beach where you can see incredible sunsets. Many people swim there but we've had more jelly fish sitings as of late. Horseshoe Crab mating season (occurring for several weeks May-June) is a fascinating and "fragrant" time the locals treasure but some visitors don’t prefer. We encourage you to learn more about it. Ocean beaches are a 10-15 min drive. We provide 4 tags to Cape May City beaches. 5) Landscaping/Hot Tub Cleaning: Our property manager cleans the hot tub every turn and our landscaper mows every other turn. If you arrive before 3:00, you may run into them outside. On the VERY rare occasion, they may need to come after 3:00 or we may check in to see if the lawn can be mowed when you're away. If you book, please let us know asap if this is a privacy issue. -CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT: Check-in is at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM. While official check-in time is after 3:00 PM, many guests typically arrive around 1:30 PM. We'll notify you once our cleaners finish, and we may allow late check-outs if there are no incoming guests. However, confirmation for early check-in and late check-outs are provided closer to your stay. NOTE: Early check-ins and late check-outs are commonly not available during the high season (May-September) due to our cleaner’s busy schedule, especially not late check out. -RENTAL AGREEMENT: Rental Agreement is required which includes hot tub and bike waivers. This will be sent to your email address via a company called Dropbox. It's very easy to sign digitally. -LINEN AND TOWEL SERVICE INCLUDED: Linens and towels provided gratis and include bath towels, wash cloths, hand towels and Turkish beach/hot tub towels! For bed coverings we provide comforters, and you will find a clean duvet cover folded on the bed. Guests who prefer not to deal with putting on a duvet cover are welcome to bring their own blankets. -OUTDOOR SECURITY CAMERAS: We have two Ring cameras. One is on the outside of the front porch facing towards the parking/street. The second is on the outside of the yard gate to deter trespassing in the yard (hasn't been an issue so far). -AIR CONDITIONING AND HEAT: Provided by 2 wall mini splits. There are also 3 large, freestanding floor units that are vented to the outside. The floor units in the living room and upstairs are kept off and are only for used for contingency or they may be used on the de-humidifier setting. The floor unit in the downstairs bedroom may be used for air-conditioning or heat. The primary source of heat is provided by a gas fireplace in the living room during the cold months. -CANCELLATION POLICY FLEXIBILITIES: We have a firm cancellation policy. Prior to 30 days full refund. Prior to 7 days 50% refund. Less than a week no refund. NOTE: If we rebook your dates we will fully refund you up to the rate we receive (Airbnb will retain their fee). -HOME DESCRIPTION: Build memories in this magical little light-filled beach house surrounded by trees. The house is newly renovated with a modern and clean open living room and kitchen design unique to the shore. Midcentury and boho boutique décor staged throughout. During the Fall and Winter cozy up near the gas fireplace enjoying seasonal decor. Year-round relax in the hot tub after exploring the local spirits, wine and beer makers. The Nauti distillery, Cape May Winery and Coldspring Brewery all within minutes (driving) from the house. Don't miss the gorgeous sunsets over the bay right down the street! During the summer walk to our fun, seasonal bayside bar/restaurant, Harpoons for great food and live music. Let your cares slip away while you float in the lovely bay beach. Living Room: You will find a wall mounted smart TV signed into streaming services, bar cart with complimentary bar accoutrements (bitters etc.) record player with Bluetooth, an Alexa for streaming music (you are welcome to unplug it if you wish) and adult card/board games provided for rainy days and fun evenings inside. Toilet Room and Queen Bedroom: There is a tiny first floor powder room next to an adorable bedroom with queen sized bed and stacked washer and dryer in the closet. NOTE: We've incorporated a luggage rack in this room, a shelf above our storage area and a large basket in the living room to store luggage and bags since the room has very little floor space. Loft/Main bedroom & Full Bath: The second floor has an open-air, full marble and stone bathroom with large shower. The large bedroom has a king-sized bed, dresser, desk, open ceiling and four (4) skylights. On one side of the bed see trees sway overhead and on the other see stars in the night sky. Netflix and chill in bed with your boo watching the 50-inch smart TV. Kitchen: Fully stocked with an espresso machine, coffee machine, blender, hand press juicer to make orange crushes and air fryer. Newer kitchen cabinets, stainless Bosch gas cooks top, and dishwasher. Built-in cabinet microwave. Cook to your heart's desire but also enjoy the tasty year-round restaurants less than a mile away. NOTE: There is not a stove but a large convection oven is provided. -OUTDOORS and BEACH EQUIPMENT: Enjoy the spacious fenced in yard which includes a 6-person year-round hot tub, comfy sectional, outdoor shower (open April-November), outdoor games, gas grill, wood and propane fire pit and picnic table with umbrella. We provide chairs, a beach cart, an umbrella, and floats for the bay. NOTE: Bikes are not guaranteed as they may need occasional maintenance but we do request our landscaper check them every turn. A bike pump is provided and if there are any issues, we will make every attempt to have the bike fixed during your visit asap. -HOST RECOMMENDATIONS: We will send a well curated guide w/ links to the area following booking.
