We are situated on 14 acres of pristine ocean view land containing a small working farm that grows organic fruit trees and veggies. Enjoy seeing fresh live bananas, papaya, pineapple and coconuts as you sit on the lanai watching the ocean. Newly built, the second floor has 3 master suites all with oceanviews. Below is our headquarters for our Wild Harvest Hawaii freeze dried fruit business where we will be preparing the items in our commercial kitchen that will go straight from farm to market each week. We are honored to host the award-winning chef Brian Na'au who prepares authentic Hawaiian meals from our commerical kitchen. Guests come from all over the world to sample his cuisine, and you are welcome to join on Friday or Saturday nights. He is booked well in advance, so please see his website to make a reservation if you want a culinary experience unlike any other. The upper area of the farm in the guest parking has an EV charger in the parking area, and a washer/dryer available for your use. Only 15 miles from Hilo airport, yet a world away from the buzz and business of the city. Within 90 minutes drive to Kona beaches, or Hawi, or lava flows. Our farm is a short driving distance from Akaka Falls, the charming town of Honomu, Honolii Beach Park, and the stunning Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden. Guest access Sheltered parking is centrally located on the property inside the large greenhouse to the left labeled Guest Parking. EV charger is available in the parking area, as is a washer and dryer. During your stay Self-check in available with door lock keypads. Once you check in, you decide the level of interaction with myself and on site staff depending on what is comfortable for you. Our Site Farm Manager Bobbie Smith will provide coconuts if requested and assist you in identifying seasonal fruit available for you to pick on the farm. Other things to note Whitehaven Farm is a low-EMF space perfect for guests who are electrosensitive or those who desire a break from the world of wireless radiation. Cell phone use is discouraged and hi-speed internet is accessed through safe, secure ethernet with ports in every room (adaptors, cords and cables available too). A special dinner is prepared on Friday and Saturday by award-winning Chef Brian for those on site if requested. Advance booking reservations are required through Chef Brian.
