Our home is fully stocked with essentials from beach and sporting gear to gourmet kitchen tools to a coffee and tea bar. Delicious local foods can be found at Tamura Market and authentic Hawaiian restaurants like Beach house 604 and Aloha Poke plus Mountain Magic Shaved Ice. Fantastic beaches for surfing, snorkeling and swimming within minutes, plus hiking trails, and caves nearby. Tourist shops, more restaurants, Disney resort and lagoon beaches 10 miles to Ko'Olina and Kapolei. Peaceful, safe and quiet on the top floor, Hibiscus House is truly an airy tropical Oasis and comfortable home base to explore all of Oahu. Guests are welcome to enjoy all the items supplied (some items left by guests) in the home - spices, tea, coffee, cooking essentials ...Beach towels and extra blankets are in closetd. Enjoy the pools (Ala Mahiku pool is right behind the building), hot tub, tennis and basketball courts, BBQ grills, picnic areas and stroll the beautiful grounds while observing colorful peacocks, roosters, chickens and various sea birds. Laundry cabanas are located around the property with the closest one just steps from our building. A courtesy laundry card is provided in the guest binder. Wash loads are $1.75 each and $1.75 to dry. Guests may add funds to the card at the kiosks outside the main office. You may leave a card for the next guest as part of kokoa - the notion of pitching in for the public good, and spread aloha. Tourist areas can be fun to explore but can get too crowded, frenetic, difficult to access and fully enjoy. The local colors and flavors of West Oahu including the best sunsets, and authentic cuisine on the island provide a real, laid back Hawaiian experience. The best way to explore and experience Oahu is to rent a car in order to access services, amenities and activities at your convenience. There are private tours and concierge desks at local hotels in Ko'Olina for example that can connect you with yours throughout the island or feel free to explore on your own ... a number of boat or snorkel tours depart from Waianae Harbor. Wild Side Tours is our favorite. There is a city bus that stops outside the MVP gate and local taxis can be available of you prefer a break from driving. We'd love to host you!
