View wildlife from your scenic perch above Roaring Brook in your very own three season gazebo. The windows are easily opened, or closed to provide you with the air flow or warmth that you desire. Even your campfire just outside, is an effortless and smokeless affair, being that it is a gas fired fire pit. New this year , a gas fired fireplace has been added to the interior of the gazebo, for ambiance and warmth. The bathroom consists of an immaculate porta potty such as the ones you find at a country fair. Your shower is a private one. It is located on the outside of the main house. If you haven’t showered outdoors, then you are in for a real treat. Watch the birds and the white fluffy clouds breeze by as you wash the cares of the world away in the ample hot water. Due to the large collection of tropical plants, even the air is scented with fragrance of tropical jasmine plants and large citrus trees in bloom nearby. If you are new to roughing it, there are no worries here. Your space is electrified with ample lighting, fan and heater if needed. A deluxe futon bed and complete set of fresh bedding and pillows are also provided for your comfort. Basically just get in the car with a change of clothes, and swim suits and you will be all set. While private (even your own driveway), you are still close to the main house, so any needs or questions can be taken care of immediately. If you decide you can tear yourself away from the walking trails, scenic rock formations and water activities, and just need a bit of a cultural diversion, then you are in luck. Northridge, the name of the property is located centrally in the Berkshire hills. It literally is smack in the middle of everything. In under twenty five minutes you can experience the scenic towns of the Berkshires and attend a variety of cultural activities from theatre to museums and more. Jacob’s Dance Festival is just a few miles away. Lee, Stockbridge, Lenox, Great Barrington are all within easy reach. In the opposite direction, you have the Pioneer Valley. The bustling, multicultural, progressive college town of Northampton is also only minutes away. Here you will find no end of food offerings, and interesting shops to poke around in. Your hosts will be more than happy to give you the lay of the land and ensure that you have plenty to do and see. Just ask them for some recommendations. We want you to take full advantage of the natural wonders of the property: the walking paths along the ridge, the brook, and the variety of impressive, mighty stone features. Also check out the tropical plants and enjoy the twenty four foot palm trees as they rustle in the Berkshire breezes. Canoe rental available for canoeing on the crystal clear, nearby Littleville reservoir. Our property offers a lot but most of all it offers a space for just relaxing. We do walk the dog (he is friendly). But with 34 acres you don't have to see him if you don't want to. We are LGBTQ friendly. We do have neighbors, so no loud parties, and no infants.
