Guest suite in Northampton

My much-loved mid-century kit house is tucked away on a quiet little street one mile from the center of Northampton. It's just a few feet from a conservation area and a block from the bike path. Just about everything you'll need is within an easy mile. has a private entrance and is large and immaculate, with what may be the worlds most comfortable bed! The bathroom is new, spa-like, and spacious, with a tub that's made for soaking. The space My home is a vintage kit house, built in the 1950s. From the street, it looks like a tiny cottage in a big perennial garden. But looks are deceptive. Walk along the path on the west side of the house and you'll not only find more garden, but also a large addition containing a roomy master suite. The suite has excellent light (and good shades), is on the first floor, and is surrounded by garden views. (If you have mobility concerns, this suite is probably not for you. The bed is high, there is no standing shower, and the paths are rustic. Also, you probably won't be able to roll your suitcase down the wood chip paths.) Guest access You'll access the house from a rear entrance, entering through a screened-in porch and mudroom. In season, the screen porch is furnished with a rocker and a garden table and chairs. You are welcome to enjoy the garden itself, which offers a chaise and a couple of seating areas, any time during the day or early evening—weather permitting! Other things to note For your convenience, your room is equipped with a French press (Bring your favorite blend!), a kettle, a microwave, microwave-safe dishes, mugs & glasses, an ice bucket, a vintage ice crusher, and a small refrigerator-freezer. I won't be washing your dishes, but the bathroom sink is large enough for the job, and I'll make sure you have some dish detergent and towels on hand. There is also a mini-recycling station & a hand vac—just in case.
