Our HOME This property is 25 min from Paia and 40 min from the Airport and is set amongst mango, banana and lemon trees beside a pristine natural reserve. With dramatic rugged cliff top and ocean views from every room in the house, enjoy gentle sea breezes and the soft sounds of the sea below. From the kitchen, balcony or bedroom, you'll often catch sight of Humpback whales playing in the waters below. The KITCHEN overlooks the ocean. In addition to crockery, cookware and cutlery, it has every appliance you'll need, including a Vitamix, Starbucks Cappuccino/Latte/Coffee maker, Hurom Juicer, crockpot, toaster oven, microwave, gas stove top and dishwasher. The MAIN LIVING ROOM is open plan with screened and glass floor to ceiling sliding doors providing stunning 360 views of the gardens and ocean. It includes a large new Samsung Flat Screen TV, Cable (Direct TV), Apple TV, HBO, Netflix, DVD player + sound system, WIFI, wood fireplace, sheepskin rug and bean bags. INTERNET We have 1G FiberOptic Internet, so download + upload speeds are VERY fast. The huge circular sofa is perfect for lounging with friends and family or reading and relaxing. There is a BABY GRAND, guitar, work desk + chair and a two person sized table, perfect for meals, candlelit dinners or using as an additional workspace. Soundless ceiling fans and the light breeze off the ocean and jungle make it cool in the summer and the glass doors and fireplace make it cozy in the winter. We have both a GARDEN DECK and and OCEAN FRONT DECK, both complete with their own table and chair set for 4 people and sun/shade umbrella. Between each deck, you have the choice of sun or shade and sunrise or sunset and can choose where you want to rest and eat. The garden deck is also home to the much loved BBQ. Our favorite? Ocean front for whales, sun and sunset dinners and the garden deck for lunch to the sound of birdsong and shade beneath an ancient Maui tree. The MASTER BEDROOM features a circular, marble framed, ultra comfortable and supportive bed. Wake to the rising sun each morning between your toes and the sound of waves lulling you from dreams. Screen doors allow soft breezes at night, along with a ceiling fan. The MASTER BATHROOM features two outdoor showers, one on the ocean front balcony and one on the garden side, and one indoor shower / shallow tub. As with all rooms, it provides lots of light and breeze with the floor to ceiling screened + glass sliding doors. The ANNEX is a private space with it's own double bed, toilet room and outdoor shower. It has a small fridge and portable stove top. The room is also a library, stocked with fascinating books from around the world. This room is set up to be an office, guest or in-law suite with its own WiFi. It has its own exquisite private garden veranda with deck chairs / sun loungers. The room faces the garden, offering tranquil views of tropical flowers and the sounds of birds calling from shady trees. OCEAN VIEW WALKS + NATURE RESERVE PRIVATE BEACH Next to the property is an ocean view trail for a nice 15-minute walk in the morning or evening. Following the trail you can climb down to the ocean and private beach, where you can swim, snorkel, sunbathe or explore the tranquil waterfall that is hidden away between the cliffs. If you love nature and unique, special places - you literally can't get better than living at this ocean front property, on an acre of tropical land with it's own fruit trees and the ability to hike down to a private beach, stream and waterfall right below you. Around the grounds are hidden sunbathing lounges, a Bale for lounging ( hand carved in Bali) - all perfect for catching the sun, reading or writing in private, or just enjoying nature. Enjoy morning walks picking fruit, bananas, oranges, lemons, limes and herbs on our property. You'll find beautiful statues from Bali all around our property, magical lighting at night (in addition to the brightest stars and planets above you) and 2 gorgeous, hand-carved Bali doors that open up into our gardens. The house is completely ECO-FRIENDLY and GREEN, running off its own solar power and water catchment system. It has reverse osmosis filtration system, providing clean, healthy water. Enjoy feeling like you are making a difference to the environment while living in luxury, privacy and beauty. GYM/GARAGE There is a large garage with tools for those with 'green fingers'. However, a gardener and outdoor maintenance is included. There is gym equipment including bench and bar, free weights, dumbells etc... CAR RENTAL NOTE: A Four Wheel Drive (4WD) is necessary and required to access the property (and is better for exploring Maui). Our Jeep Rubicon (high end luxury jeep) is available for rent and is prefered by guests as it's much more comfortable (and cost effective) than the Jeep Wranglers available to rent at Avis or Hertz.
