The Ashmont Duplex is a 3 bed/3 bath unit, and is brand spanking new, along with all of the furnishings. It has 2 Queen + 1 Full size en-suite bedrooms. The duplex is extremely clean and remarkably decorated. Only a 5 minute walk to Ashmont metro station. Taking you directly into Downtown Boston, Harvard Square, South Boston, Kendall/MIT, U Mass. There are two great restaurants nearby, Molinari's and Tavolo Ristorante, as well as a local coffee shop and a Dunkin just across the metro station. This historical Victorian home was built in 1894. It is located in Ashmont Hill, which is an area within Boston's Dorchester neighborhood that is known for their beautiful Victorian homes & its diverse and eclectic neighborhood. The house is located only about a five minute walk from Ashmont T station, which is the first or last station on the red line. Extremely convenient. The Ashmont Duplex is composed of The Ashmont Apartment (Unit 1) and The Boiler Room (Ground Unit) of this old victorian two family home to which we have converted into a unique boutique guest house and outdoor living space. ***IF YOU ARE PLANNING OR LOOKING FOR A SPACE TO HOST A PARTY/EVENT/FRIENDS, OR TO BE IN A SPACE TO BE LOUD, THIS IS NOT THE SPACE FOR YOU. The Ashmont Apartment (Unit 1) is a two bedroom apartment. One bedroom (The Map Room) has a queen size bed and its own ensuite bathroom. While the other bedroom (The Elephant Room), comes with a full size bed and its own ensuite bathroom as well. The Boiler Room is a larger one bedroom apartment that comes with a queen size bed and its own ensuite bathroom, along with its own private kitchenette. Long term guests (7+ days or more) may also have access to the washer and dryer in the Boiler Room, if needed. Please just kindly ask your host if you plan to use the washer and dryer. We're happy to offer after hours check-in using a keyless and/or access code to the house. This means your late night flight is fine, but please keep in mind that check-out is at 11 AM and check-in is after 4 PM. If we are not at home, we're both just a phone call away and are always happy to help, offer advise, or assist you with anything you may need. Please don't hesitate to reach out at any time! The House is a five minute walk to Ashmont T Station (Red Line), which takes you directly into the city. There is also a great restaurant/bar about a five minute walk (in front of the station) from our house - called Ashmont Grill. This is our hang out place, and totally recommend it. They have great food, friendly locals - and great all around drinks. And on Thursday they have $1 oysters! The best way to get to/from the city is by taking the red line to Ashmont T Station. We are just but a 5 min. walk to the metro station.
