Ridgewood Bay House - Dog Friendly

Are you day dreaming of warm summer nights and beautiful sunsets? Enjoy a get-away in this beautifully restored coastal bay house nestled in a friendly neighborhood just 2 blocks from the bay and amazing sunsets. Bring your pup (sorry, no cats allowed) and enjoy a much-needed break. UPDATE! New for 2026 - fully enclosed back yard. The space This classic coastal cottage is tastefully decorated to really bring the Cape May Bay ambiance to your family vacation. Let's start with our furry visitors - at Ridgewood Bay House, we really love our pups. As you enter the home, between the outdoor shower and the deck steps, there is a dedicated outdoor dog washing station, complete with hot and cold running water with a dog shampooing hose. In the main bathroom (in the closet) you will find a basket full of dedicated towels for your pups use. Inside, you'll find dog bowls in the kitchen and a basket of dog-friendly throw blankets in the family room that you can use to keep them comfortable. Step inside and discover a charming family room, three beautifully decorated bedrooms, a modern kitchen with top-notch amenities, and a cozy dining room/sunroom. You'll also find a convenient laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. Outside, a spacious back porch beckons with its inviting outdoor dining table and umbrella. Starting with the Family room. This large size room with a vaulted ceiling has a couple of super comfortable chairs and a "fall-asleep-in-the-middle-of-the-day" couch that you will want to take home with you (it also folds out into a full-size bed if you need additional sleeping arrangements). There's a 60-inch flat screen TV mounted on the far wall (with Roku and wifi) and the large coffee table that would be a perfect place to play a round of cards should it happen to rain. Special attention has been spent on the kitchen and dining room to showcase all the modern touches you expect to find in a vacation home. This fully equipped kitchen includes plates, bowls, silverware, utensils and all the rest of the basics. There are pots, pans, a Toaster, microwave, tea kettle, blender as well as knife block. The stainless-steel gas stove, refrigerator and dishwasher should make you feel right at home and comfortable to cook any size meal from reheating takeout from one of the wonderful local eateries to constructing a complete family dinner. And of course, there's even a quaint coffee bar where you can get your caffeine fix, complete with coffee and drip style coffee maker. What early morning golf or fishing trip begins without a fresh pot? The dining room is really special. Enjoy the early morning sun rise drinking your coffee with the sun streaming in through the many windows and skylight with vaulted ceilings. There's a large dining room with enough space to sit 6 (additional seating is right outside the back door on the outdoor deck which also has a metal table with umbrella). After a long day on the beach, come back to your vacation home and wash away the grime in our brand-new outdoor shower. Take the chill off the summer night using our gas fire pit and relax in classic Adirondack chairs in the back yard. For sleeping arrangements, there are 3 bedrooms and the couch in the family room folds out into a full-sized bed. The large master bedroom, right off the family room, contains a queen size bed, a closet you're welcome to store your gear in and a full bathroom. Enjoy the newly renovated bathroom with a custom tiled shower enclosure and luxurious rain head shower head. The 2nd bedroom, also off the family room/kitchen also has a queen bed and a large closet that is ready for your use. For the kids, there is a bedroom off of the dining room that has a classic bunk bed (twin over full). There's enough distance from the other bedrooms to let the kids enjoy their sleepover adventure without disturbing the rest of the family! The shared bathroom off of the kitchen/dining room contains a full-size bathtub that is perfect for washing up after a long day of exploring all the sites of Cape May. There's also a laundry room which you may use free of charge (remember to bring the detergent of your choice). Linens are provided for 2 queen, 1 full and 1 twin, and 1 full fold out couch as well as bath towels. You will need to bring your own beach towels in season. We supply starter dish and dishwasher soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. Please note that the garage and owner's closet in the laundry room are not accessible. Please be aware: There is now a single external security camera mounted above the garage doors pointed down the driveway. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole house and driveway (with parking for up to 3 cars.). Additional street parking is also available.
