Speckle-painted floors, warm wood walls, and a fieldstone fireplace along with 3 bedrooms, plus 2 twins in a room with laundry. Two full baths, and an outdoor shower. Screened porch. It’s all about simple traditional summer living and Nauset Beach, a short stroll. Bring sheets and towels or use local service. A summer guest house and a winter addition on property. The space While this is a fully equipped summer cottage, sheets, bath, and beach towels are not provided June, July, August, and September Guests may bring their own or choose local services that provide delivery and pick up of the same. The Furies is one such company. The property is over an acre and protected by privacy hedges. Lawns, tennis court, former stables, and the 1925 cottage, are well cared for since our family purchased the property in 1943. Across the yard, there is a small seasonal guest cottage connected by a screened breezeway to a 4 Season cottage. These may be rented. Beach essentials are in a shed. Dogs are prohibited on the main beach from April 1 through Labor Day. However, dogs are allowed year-round at Pricilla Beach at the end of Standish Road Guest access The property is for your enjoyment with the exception of a locked garage with family items. The guest house and it’s addition may be occupied but this should not be a bother. The tennis court is shared by the three dwellings. Parking areas are separate. one for the main cottage and one for the guest cottage and 4Season addition. Other things to note Access to the North Spit requires walking down 50 wooden steps built into the bluff overlooking the beach, bay, and ocean. A seating resting area is built halfway down the stairs. The stairs are only for Nauset Heights residents and guests; you will be a guest. This family place is gorgeous in its simplicity and we have intentionally kept it in its traditional character resisting pressures to modernize. If you love the idea of a classic cottage by a world-renowned beach, in a sweet town, then you will be in heaven. You must know the cottage is not insulated. You will hear the rain and feel dramatic temperature changes. We have added mini splits for heat and AC. But this is not the rental for ultimate sports viewing with the highest speed connectivity. Cell phone coverage is spotty on the Heights. We do have modems and internet connections in the dwellings. This is the home for sunrise beach walks, star gazing, long dinners, and reading books on the porch. We hope you love it as we do and come back every year.
