This space has been fully updated in the spring of 2020. Incredible unobstructed panoramic views. It is 400 sq' with an additional 350 sq ' of living space on the deck. The neighborhood is quiet, but you are a stones throw from I-195, making places like Boston, Providence and the Cape and Islands very easy to get to. The décor is bright and funky! Close to UMASS. The bungalow is set up to be super functional and so that while you are in the home you can enjoy the view from everywhere! It is tiny house living at its best! It is a perfect space for one adult or a couple. However, we have had some close friends and families squeeze a third adult in the loft, there is a thin matt that can be used as a bed. A family with a small child or 2 would be very cozy, but could squeeze if they don’t mind living in tight quarters. The space is an open floor plan. It has a full sized bathroom with a roomy gorgeous shower in the South East corner. There is a washer and dryer in the hall closet. The kitchen(more of a kitchenette really) is set up in the North East Corner and is fitting to a tiny house with a single burner cook-top and sink facing the water and other small appliances such as a microwave, coffee maker, a mini fridge and a toaster oven. If you'd like to expand your cooking options there is a full sized convection oven in the laundry pantry as well as a grill with burner. The kitchen has all your basic needs met for cooking! The sink is under the window with an incredible view of Lake Noquochoke. There is a built in counter that can be used for dining for 4 snugly during poor weather when outside dining won't be fun. There is a full bed in the south west corner and an ladder to the reading loft centered in the house. The loft has comfy pillows and a full sized thin matt for napping or kids to sleep on if they don't mind the floor. The North west corner is equipped with comfy seating facing the water and an electric fireplace for cool season ambiance and extra heat, as well as a new wall mounted smart tv over the window. The deck is furnished for grilling, dinning and lounging! SPECIAL NOTE: To enable us to winterize the bungalow, we had to bring the pump indoors. Water pumps are unfortunately loud, but we've done our best to soundproof the room. Therefore you will hear the pump go off occasionally with water use. Hopefully you will find that this ads to the charm of tiny living! You have the entire home and yard to yourselves! The home is self check in and on it's own little piece of land. We are reachable for any questions and live about 15 minutes away if we are needed. Otherwise enjoy your stay! This location won our hearts with the view! It sealed the deal with all there is to offer nearby. It is located down a quiet side street on the quiet side of Lake Noquochoke. The street has 2 different entrances to hiking trails(they are not well maintained, but lots to explore!) It is a small quiet neighborhood with year round families. There are maybe a dozen homes on our street and ours is the last before conservation land starts! The bird watching from the deck is amazing, everything from birds of Prey, Heron, water fowl and song birds! We spotted a river otter ice fishing on the lake from the deck this February!! The highway is close enough to be white noise. It really is far off enough that you can only hear it sometimes because it is such a quiet spot. You may catch a peak of vehicles passing in one tiny spot, way off in the distance. With the highway so close there is the added convenience to be able to hop on in just a few minutes and be on your way. You can be in downtown New Bedford for lunch and boutique shopping(or get the seastreak to the Vineyard or Nantucket) in 10 minutes, Providence in 20, and Boston and the Cape in under and hour. Or head South down the winding, stone wall lined, back roads of The Farm Coast. You can be at a beautiful coastal beach or waterfront dining in 15 minutes, in picturesque towns and villages like Padanaram, Westport, Little Compton, and Tiverton. In under 10 minutes there is any shopping you might need in North Dartmouth that has a theater, mall, Target, Stop and Shop and lots of dining options! We welcome pets but they must first be approved by us and follow our pet rules! 2) A water cooler is provided for drinking water. We have multiple filters and the water is safe, however, whenever you are this close to a natural water source it is always nice to have and off site option for drinking.
