A charming one-room studio apartment behind our main house is the perfect place for someone visiting Woods Hole village. It works for one guest or a couple. Please note the apartment is located directly behind the main house. The studio is a separate building with its own entrance and walking distance to MBL, WHOI, Stony Beach, the ferry to Martha's Vineyard, the bike path and Woods Hole Village. The setting is very private and wooded, with most windows facing trees. The kitchen has most basic appliances as well as a Nespresso machine (with coffee capsules provided). Guests have access to the entire studio apartment and a parking spot close to it. The apartment is free-standing from the main house. There is a small bench and table to sit in front of the apartment outside, if they would like. I give guests their privacy and only seek them out when they contact me or need something I can help with. I have a property manager available on site should any problems arise. Woods Hole village is a small, charming community at the bottom tip of Cape Cod. It has several nice restaurants, cafes and a market. Walking distance to the Woods Hole bus stop/Steamship Authority terminal (ferry to Martha's Vineyard). This is about a 7 minute walk from the house. The terminal is also the start of the Shining Sea bike trail to Falmouth. There is a parking spot for visitors to apartment, but keep in mind that parking is a big issue in Woods Hole if you plan to have a second vehicle or meet others in town! There are metered spots on Water St, otherwise most parking is resident only. The public Stony Beach is closest to the house, only a quarter-mile away, but requires a beach permit for parking from May-August. (Only a 5 minute walk though!)
