No cell service in area. Lots to do, MOCA, hikes around the lake, Shelburne Falls, Mohawk Trail, Berkshires, Tanglewood, Skiing Mt. Snow or Berkshire East. Well stocked kitchen, coffee maker, coffee grinder (bring your fav beans) micro, oven, toaster, blender, lots of pots and pans. Tap water is excellent, good to drink, also a Brita for your use. Beds are comfy with plenty of pillows, organic cotton sheets, extra blankets and pillows. Pellet stove for ambiance and cozy warmth. DVD's, board games, books, some kids toys. Great hiking trails around lake, bring snowshoes and skis! The whole house is available, nice trails around the lake for snowshoeing or hiking, in summer the sandy beach, tennis courts and horseshoe pits are adjacent to the property. ALL LOCAL TAXES INCLUDED. No pets, sorry. We are local, so available for advice and to assist if needed. We love to meet our guests but will give complete privacy if preferred. Come prepared for all weather! River fun, Thunder MT, mountain biking, zip lines, Mountain Coaster, hiking, fine art and culture, swimming, games, peace and quiet. You will need a vehicle. Rural. Check the forecast, it's usually cooler, great in hot summer months! There is no cell service in the area, WiFi calling is your option if you need to phone. There is internet and a smart TV for streaming, no cable. If the power or internet goes out (extremely rare but possible) there will be no phone unless you drive to get a cell signal (about 10 min away) There is no dishwasher. Nightly price is for 4 guests, additional charges apply for more people. Please reach out with your circumstance, I can be flexible for longer term stays. I highly recommend getting groceries and supplies before arriving, there aren't any stores nearby. The tap water is wonderful to drink, very clean well water. There is also a Britta filter for your use, no need to buy water. Also the stairs in the cottage are ‘short’. They are original to the 1950 structure so have shorter risers, therefore the stair climbing/descending experience will be different. There is no cell service in this area! WiFi calling is required, please take note. The bathroom is on the first floor, all bedrooms are on the second floor. The stairs are original to the cottage therefore they are "steep" -please be advised if you are differently-abled.
