The space Our Pied-A-Terre in the historic Treme Neighborhood is three bedrooms and two baths – the perfect size for six people to enjoy each others’ company but have enough space for private time. Newly renovated with central heat and air and instant hot water system. THE LIVING ROOM: Plenty of seating for all, and furnished with upscale comfortable furniture. Plenty of nooks for reading, watching a movie or just spending time together sipping a cocktail and planning your next Nola adventure. - High design with soaring cathedral ceilings with skylights; - Upscale comfortable furniture (including a “fainting couch” for your Southern Belle moments); - 24” Flat Screen Samsung Smart TV with ALL the streaming channels – I mean ALL of them! If you have it in your home bathroom, we have it here); - Instant hot water so there is always enough no matter how many simultaneous showers and laundry is being done; CHEF’S KITCHEN: The chef's kitchen is newly renovated, spacious and designed with communal cooking in mind with great flow and upscale appliances. - Microwave and convection oven; - Silent dishwasher; - Side-by-side Refrigerator/Freezer with in-door water and ice station; - Gourmet Cuisinart ™ pots; - Hand-painted antique china from France; - Really good, sharp knives; - Cuisinart coffee maker and Braun coffee bean grinder as well as a coffee press (we take our coffee very seriously and provide whole bean regular and decaf as well as coffee/chicory mix for the old New Orleans taste). We also provide an assortment of herbal and black teas, all of the sweeteners (including honey, stevia, agave, sugar in the raw and the pink and yellow packets), hot chocolate; - Standard kitchen staples, such as a full spice rack, various types of oil and vinegar, etc.; - All of the little touches you need to rustle up a full meal (like a garlic press) or fantastic cocktails (like a citrus squeezer); - Varietal-correct Riedel stemware, coupe champagne glasses, high ball glasses, etc.; - Air popper popcorn maker and fixins’; - Magic Bullet blender. And so much more -- it is truly a cook's paradise. But New Orleans is the best food city in America - so you're a short walk, bike ride or Uber to some of the best restaurants in the country. You can also use Uber Eats or other popular food delivery apps to get food delivered from pretty much any restaurant in the city! LAUNDRY ROOM: The laundry room includes all laundry soap and supplies and a large capacity Samsung washer and dryer. Also equipped with an ironing board and iron and a rack for hanging delicates. (The laundry room is for your personal use only - you will not be stripping beds or washing linens). BACKYARD: The backyard is private and fully fenced with a deck and comfortable lounge furniture and provides multiple spots to relax, sip a cocktail or take a nap in the sunshine. - Large outdoor couch with rectangular umbrella to enjoy any time of the day; - Multiple bistro tables and chairs in little nooks; - Native plants and outdoor art for a tranquil feel; - Butterfly house and bird feeder to entice our friends to pollinate (and you may see Nola's wild parrots). CARPORT: Private, gated and locked carport for your exclusive use. Park your car and never touch it again as you can walk, bike or take a short Uber everywhere in New Orleans. (You do not need to rent a car!). There is also plenty of free street parking right in front of the house. GETTING AROUND: The Treme neighborhood is the oldest black neighborhood in America and the birthplace of jazz. It is the epicenter of the culture and everything you love about New Orleans to this day. - We are the closest neighborhood to The French Quarter (15 minute walk) and also walkable to to Jazz Fest and all downtown parades and activities year-round; - We are a 17-minute drive from the airport. - - There are two major jazz clubs within 2 blocks of the house; - World-class restaurants and cocktail and dive bars within a 10 minute walk; - Five blocks or less to numerous museums including: - The Degas House; - The Treme Petite Jazz Museum; - The African American Museum; - The Storeyville Museum; - Le Musee de P.F.C. (The Free People of Color Museum); - The Backstreet Cultural Museum (Mardi Gras Indian central); - St. Augustine Church and the Tomb of the Unknown Slave; - Mardi Gras Museum of Costumes & Culture; - New Orleans Jazz Museum (the sponsor of Jazzfest); - New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum. and within a 30 minute walk, 15 minute bike ride or 5 minute Uber ride to The New Orleans Museum of Art, City Park and the Fairgrounds (the home of The Jazzfest). Guest access The entire home is yours, which includes the number of bedrooms you book (1 or 2) depending on the number of guests and arrangements made in advance. Gated and locked carport for your exclusive use (there's also plenty of free on-street parking in front of the house). Screaming fast Wi-Fi for digital nomads (not the norm in New Orleans!). Other things to note ★ CLEANING & SANITIZATION ★ The health, safety, and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough cleaning process after each check-out and are still using Covid protocols. We also have an ozone laundry system to sanitize all linens and towels. There are smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in each room and hallway and fire extinguishers in each room. NOTE: No parties or gatherings; only the registered guests are allowed on the property at all times. (This is a nationwide Airbnb rule as well as a City of Nola STR permit requirement). No animals of any kind are allowed in the home or on the grounds - even for a short visit. This includes pets, service animals, therapy dogs, emotional support peacocks, herding Llamas, non-shedding or hyper allergenic breeds or even Lassie. The owner of the property is highly allergic, and we are maintaining this as an allergen-free home (we are protected by the ADA). (We also don’t use any harsh chemicals, and use all natural cleaning products, except for the alcohol we use to sanitize high-touch areas. There are no feather pillows or scents used in the house and we change the air filters every month and we use a HEPA vacuum and floor steamers with distilled and ozonated water).
