Oh ... did we mention beachfront? **Please note** the rental is NOT an ideal setting for anyone who has difficulty with stairs or steep declines/inclines, as the property has stairs to the yard AND beach access that requires walking up a small dune We have a unique booking process, so please look for the "Contact Host" button to send us a message. The "contact host" button can sometimes be hard to locate, but do NOT submit a reservation request until you contact us first. Thank you. PLEASE READ ALL LISTING DETAILS BELOW and detailed in other sections including the "Other things to note" section. Please send us a message (do not submit a booking request) for the days you want and if we don't already have guests in that 30-day time frame we will most likely be able to accommodate your stay. The unit is a private one bedroom “ohana” in the BACK of the property. You CANNOT see the ocean directly from the unit, but you can hear the waves. A few steps from your door is a wide yard with vast ocean views and our own private beach access. You are staying TRUE BEACHFRONT with a private beach access not available to the public. We can provide more information directly, so please submit your questions using the "contact host" button - we will respond quickly to answer all of your questions. The yard is available for use, along with your own private beach access. Tenants live on the property, and are happy to chat it up with you in the yard or on the beach, but you will have all the privacy you need as you'll be staying in a separate unit. North Shore is a small town, but BIG on experiences. The surfing is the biggest draw, with some of the world's most famous waves. We provide a basic guide with insider tips, but give you the real scoop on how to get the most out of your stay when you actually check-in. There is a bus line, and the bikes we provide work well for part of the North Shore, but a rental car is recommended, especially getting from the airport to the North Shore. Make sure you research the weather and surf conditions for the time of year you plan to visit. Hawaii is usually sunshine and day dreams, but we do have a wet season (winter). More importantly the ocean on the North Shore during the winter is usually too dangerous to access unless you are an experienced big wave surfer - surf heights at times can exceed 20 feet (7 meters). This is true for the entire North Shore as the surf effects the entire coastline. Surf conditions are weather, and weather is unpredictable, so you may experience big surf during the winter. You might also have an ocean as flat as a lake. We cannot predict weather or surf conditions, but keep the following North Shore seasons in mind: Winter season: Nov - Feb (Peak winter. Big surf. More rain and wind.) Summer season: May - Aug (Peak summer season. Dry/Hot. Flat ocean. Good snorkeling) Spring/Fall: Mar, Apr, Sept, Oct (Warm sunny days. Tropical breezes. Cooler nights. Some days may have bigger surf conditions.) Keep in mind that Hawaii is known to have a few roaches, geckos and other insects, especially during the winter rainy season months. We do our best to keep them out by having monthly exterminations. To help us with this cause and to keep our Hawaii “pets” from entering, we ask that you put food away and keep doors shut at all times. Thank you for your understanding
