Less than a 5-min walk to Stony Beach, the Children's School of Science, the Martha's Vineyard ferry, the aquarium, restaurants, tennis, the wonderful library, Pie in the Sky, Coffee O, the Oceanographic Institute, the MBL, the Shining Sea bike path, and Woods Hole Market. A huge yard with room to relax and play. Our house is bright and airy. It's air conditioned, a rarity for a rentals on School Street. It's close to everything, but quiet enough to enjoy dinner outside or meditate in the secluded back yard. We just park the car and enjoy living life on foot. Everything except the garages. There are closets for your use, but we keep storage spaces under the roof eaves locked, and there is a locked owner's closet in the basement. We will not be there when you are, but have a superb property management company who are ready and able to help whenever you need them. We are also available by email or cell phone. We love our friendly, quiet neighbors and being so close to saltwater. The sunset view across Eel Pond, which is kitty-corner from our house is spectacular when you walk around the pond. Ditto for the view from Stony Beach which is just a 5-minute walk through this quiet neighborhood. You'll be within a 5-minute walk of numerous restaurants, the local-favorite Pie In The Sky Bakery, Coffee Obsession, The Captain Kidd bar, the Aquarium, and many scientific, historical, and maritime exhibits, etc. We have a large parking area. The stop for the Whoosh Trolley (into Downtown Falmouth and the Falmouth Mall) is about 5-minutes walk as is the Steamship Authority Ferry to Martha's Vineyard, the Peter Pan Bus line (into Boston's Greyhound Station and Boston's Logan Airport. That bus connects to the Northeast and rest of the U. S., and it picks up and drops off passengers within 5 minutes walk. Some of our guests arrive and leave that way, and we do too at times. This is a year-round house. It is insulated and has both heat and air conditioning. On the Sunday morning of the Falmouth Road Race, School St. closes to traffic early, but opens as soon as all runners are off, usually by 10:30 AM. If you need to drive anywhere, plan to leave before or after the closing. Please check the race website for updated information. Buses drop off the runners along School St and they walk down Milfield St to the starting line.
