Relax into the entire second floor of our renovated historic home with 2 lovely queen bedrooms (one with open doors to a private deck), adjacent full bathroom, sitting room with fridge, teakettle and pull-out sofa. The downstairs dining room - with sliding door to deck - is yours to use as well. Peaceful residential neighborhood, hidden from main road, within 5-minute stroll from Vineyard Haven’s idyllic Main Street, with shops, award-winning cafes, restaurants and VH ferry. The space Welcome to my newly-renovated historic home! I'm Nathan Shepard, island artist and carpenter. I had the opportunity to purchase the my mother's house with the idea of starting a small island B&B; this is our third summer season with Airbnb. I have renovated the home - built in 1900 - and redecorated it with your comfort in mind! I named it “Maggie’s Place” in honor of my artist mom. I hope you will love it as much as I do. The 2nd floor gives you exclusive use to 2 queen bedrooms (one of which has open doors to a spacious private deck, with a teak table and chairs and covered with climbing grape vines), an adjoining full bathroom, as well as a sitting room with a small desk, mini fridge, teakettle and pull-out sofa. The dining room – with open doors to deck - is downstairs at garden entry level and yours to use as well. You will be the only guests during your stay. I come from a family of artists, going back generations; some of their work is displayed throughout the home. During your stay I provide free of charge: hearty continental breakfast with pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee. The house has parking, free Wifi, bathroom necessities (towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer), beach towels, beach chairs, maps and bus schedules, and tourist information. Of course I take pride in keeping the house immaculately clean. Guest access The 2nd floor accommodates 4 guests, but this can expand to six guests (additional guests $80 per night per person): two queen rooms and a full bath, plus sitting room with comfortable pull-out queen sofa bed. Master bedroom offers a lovely private deck with teak furniture for you to enjoy your morning coffee, and a hammock to relax in the shade of the grape vines. Full bathroom with step-in shower, plus sitting room with a pull-out sofa, a mini-fridge, teakettle and a small desk for your laptop. The dining room is on the first floor. There is room for free parking for two cars. Other things to note We also offer use of a ping pong table and bocci ball on the side lawn of the house.
