Elegant 2 bedroom condo located on the west side of Oahu. Enjoy close access to some of the best beaches of the island, relax in a quiet gated complex that offers amenities such as pools, hot tub, and 24 hour security. This unit offers a perfect getaway for families in search of restful time at the beach, or for persons needing a quiet environment to simply unwind and explore the surrounding tropical entourage. The space This well situated top floor condo corner unit offers an appeasing atmosphere with lush tropical trees surrounding the lanai from beneath it, partial ocean and mountain views, and an expanded space from the high vaulted ceilings in the living room. Mountain breeze usually cools the apartment when all windows are left open, but we have AC in the living room area for hot summer days, and ceiling fans in each room for additional ventilation. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, cooking spices, and a coffee maker. Beach towels, beach chairs, snorkels, boogie boards, beach toys and umbrella shades are available for use. For guest access, a smart lock on the apartment door allows guests to conveniently self check in (at or anytime after 3pm) and check out (at or anytime before 11:00am). Code details will be emailed after booking is completed. The apartment is located in a gated community, therefore guests will obtain a parking pass from the security desk/office for the duration of their stay upon arrival at the Makaha Valley Plantation condos. The assigned parking stall will be emailed to you, along with other useful details once booking is complete. Shared condo amenities includes access to 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, 2 kiddy pools, barbecue areas, a tennis court, and a basketball court. House rules provided in unit, please read through them upon arrival. Washers and dryers located in common laundry rooms. Guest access Entire apartment Other things to note Please be aware that peacocks and chickens roam around freely on the property, and you may hear them make sounds at night or early morning. Peacock calls occur most notably during spring and early summer during breeding season. Waianae side of Oahu is located 40 miles from downtown Honolulu. Even though driving time without traffic may be 1 hour, the roads and freeways become frequently congested especially during rush hour, so I recommend checking "real time" traffic on a cell phone app for traffic. The place I recommend for eating out are listed on the guidebook section. Makaha Valley, and Waianae in general is very different from touristy, crowded Waikiki. Most of the restaurants and shopping places are locally or family owned. You will have a sense of a more modest island lifestyle around here. Waianae Coast is considered a "countryside" area on Oahu. The lanai (balcony) is a little smaller than 2 feet wide. You can walk on it, but it is not large enough to accommodate a chair for sitting down.
