Description

This charming and cozy studio apartment has a loft feeling. The Hamilton Park neighborhood of Jersey city is a great location located just minutes from NYC by either PATH (subway train) or HOlland Tunnel (7 minute drive). The location of Hamilton Park/Downtown Jersey City is walkable vibrant and hip restaurants & bars scene, several local parks, and shopping. The majority of local restaurants and shops are as close as 3-12 minutes away. The space The apartment has 1 king size sleep number bed, 1 sofa bed, and an airmattress if necessary. There is a small kitchen equipt with the basics to get your meal started (cooking oil, salt, pepper, sugar, pots & pans, aluminum foil, etc). The apartment has great wifi supported by Wifi. Our building is a historic frame house built in 1880 full of the charm and quirks typical in an old building (including slightly crooked/sqeaky stairs, and several other updates that we are saving to make - like the fridge and shower $$$). You will also need to go up two flights of stairs to enter the apartment. This location is great for relaxing after enjoying the sights of NYC and Jersey City. Please be considerate of our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum especially after 10PM and before 10AM. Guest access Guests have full access to the unit, Google Wifi, Internet, heat, hot water, electricity, window unit air conditioning, stocked kitchen, and street parking. Nearest Laundromat is Hamilton Laundromat, and it is located half a block down the street. Other things to note Please note our place is a 15-20 minute uber/taxi ride from Newark Liberty International Airport. Traveling here from John F Kennedy Airport in Queens takes between 60 and 90 minutes by car depending on traffic. Quick access to New York City: Walk to the Newport or Grove Street PATH stations or in approximately 12-15 minutes. Walking to the Newport station is mostly indoors. Even though the Newport Mall closes at 9 PM, access through the Mall to Newport PATH is available 24/7. The PATH train ride from the Newport and Grove Street station to The World Trade Center is approximately 7 minutes. The PATH Train ride to 33rd St is approximately 14 minutes from Newport and 18 minutes from Grove Street. Trains depart every 3-6 minutes during rush hour. The PATH train detours through Hoboken on weekends, so add an extra 10 minutes to your travel time. One PATH train ride costs $2.75. The subway system in NYC also costs $2.75 per ride. Both systems offer discounts for purchases of 10 or more trips. Citi Bike, NYC's bike share system, also extends to Jersey City with 50 stations. There are several stations within walking distance of the apartment. So even if you are staying in Jersey City but visiting Manhattan, one membership has got you covered. Citi Bike was designed for quick trips with convenience in mind, and it’s a fun and affordable way to get around town. Pick up a bike from any station in Jersey City, Manhattan, Brooklyn or Queens, and return it to any other station when you're done. Parking is on-street parking and is limited to 2 hours for a visitor without a parking permit (8am-5pm, M-F). Overnight and weekend parking is free.
