Guest access Parking Suggestions There is legal street parking in front of, on the side and in the rear (on grass) of our home, if need be. Loading or unloading in front of the building on the Park Street side is fine, however, because Park Blvd is very narrow, we STRONGLY suggest that you avoid parking overnight in the front of the building. We suggest that parking on the Teche Street side toward the front of the building is your best option. Do Not Park in the Yellow Triangles. Should you need it, there is also parking available on the grass immediately behind the building. We park our personal vehicles on Teche Street toward the back of the building. Getting Around: The Algiers ferry, streetcars and bus system are all part of the same transit system. Their excellent app is "RTA Go Mobile" in the app store. The ferries are pretty new boats that accommodate only pedestrians and bicycles. The ferry ride is a great and inexpensive experience in itself. You can walk, bicycle, Uber or drive to and park near the Algiers ferry. The app has real time schedules and lets you charge fares to your credit card and is also good for riding our streetcars and busses. Its really good. Once on the other side of the river. Streetcars, the French Quarter, an outlet Mall, the Convention Center, a riverside park and "moonwalk", Harrah's Casino, Aquarium of the America's are all right there, within 1500 feet. The St. Charles Streetcar is a great way to see the old mansions. The Canal Street Street Car (City Park) takes you all the way to our beautiful City Park and the New Orleans Museum of Art. The Riverfront Streetcar gets you to the other end of the French Quarter and the foot of Frenchmen Street, which is a great place to enjoy food and music, rather than Bourbon Street (which most locals avoid During your stay We would love to interact with our guests, and we know where and how to enjoy authentic New Orleans food and culture. However, guests make the choice. We provide our cell numbers, should they want to interact with us. Otherwise we communicate with the app. Registration Details 23-XSTR-10771
