This bright sunlit bedroom is located on a quiet residential street in historic Charlestown. It is a located within an apartment just 5 minutes from Bunker Hill Monument and the Freedom Trail; 20 minutes from downtown Boston, Cambridge, via bus or foot. Walk to Spaulding Hospital and MGH Institute for Healthcare Professionals in the Navy Yard, MGH labs, schools/facilities and other Mass General Brigham hospitals, or take their shuttle buses to their various hospitals. Please ask me for details. The space Located on a quiet residential street, just 5 minutes from Bunker Hill Monument in historic Charlestown -- so close to the Freedom Trail you can throw a stone to it; and home of the Bunker Hill Monument! The bedroom is furnished with a twin daybed (2 large empty drawers underneath), fresh linens, a large desk; as well as wireless internet, and a 28" TV (a connectivity cord is needed, if you want this feature, please let me know so I can order the cord). The kitchen and bath are located on the same floor. Coffee, espresso, hot tea, chai or hot chocolate are available upon request. You will be sharing this space with me, Rosalia (pronounced Rose-a-Leah-a) the host and owner. Charlestown is a little over 1 mile from the downtown financial district of Boston. Boston Logan Airport and South Station is a quick 15 minutes away by cab (depending on traffic, day of the week and time of day, of course), South Station is where the trains and buses come in/out, is less than 3-miles away. Guest access Guest will have access to outdoor deck, if he or she chooses. During your stay Note: I work from home 2-3 days a week. I work in healthcare and am extremely mindful of how quickly colds spread. Should you feel sick/sickly/have any symptoms of any kind please let me know immediately. Upon coming home, please leave your house keys on the rabbit key holder on the yellow kitchen wall above the light switch so we both know we are home. This will aid in knowing whether or not to turn on the alarm —when departing the apartment. Please lock both locks on the door to the apartment EVEN IF we are both home. Please make sure that the front red door to the apartment building is locked behind you. While Charlestown is an extremely safe neighborhood, we like to take precautions when we can. ** Please be mindful of my mental space and kindly give me 20-30 minutes to settle in after I've arrived home from work or being out and about, and my evening out before asking questions, or telling me about your day. New Mitsubishi heat pump installed as of January 2024. New mattress topper for the twin bed and new pillows. Other things to note You are more than welcomed to keep food, and liquids in the refrigerator -- it is not necessary to keep all of your food together in one spot, unless that is what you prefer as I know what is mine. I do not mind sharing the most items in my kitchen: any condiments in the refrigerator; tea, coffee, and all spices. (However, not my beer, wine or liquor unless I offer you a glass or a beer.) If you use up/finish something, for instance the olive oil, I ask that you kindly replace it. Tap water is drinkable— there is a liter bottle in the room for you to refill as needed during your stay. Shelf space is also available in the corner cabinet, to the left of the refrigerator.
