Stroll along Aliʻi Drive to the best restaurants and shops in town, soak in the spa and bbq poolside, or stop by the farmerʻs market, pack up the cooler and hit the beach. Hale Wiki is the perfect jumping off point for all your Hawaiʻi Island adventures. Hale Wiki is fully furnished with a modern beach vibe and everything you will need for a relaxing vacation. Cold air conditioning offers an oasis from the Hawaiian heat between your island adventures. The studio is equipped with strong wifi and a big screen TV with cable. The kitchenette includes a mid-sized fridge, microwave, a table top cook top, coffee maker, toaster and blender. Anything you need to cook a simple meal or heat up some leftovers from one of the many restaurants in walking distance. Hale Wiki is located in the very heart of Kailua-Kona town, known for its crystal clear water, sunny skies, and breathtaking sunsets. You canʻt get more centrally located than this. Walk to restaurants, bars, shops, activities, and two beaches. You can go for a swim, snorkel, stand up paddle board, or kayak in Kailua Bay – easiest access is at the Kailua Pier (the world famous Ironman start/finish), a short walk down Aliʻi Drive. Hawaiʻi Island has an array of day trips and adventures to embark upon from the peak of sacred Mauna Kea to the lush valleys of scenic Hamakua coast. Hale Wiki is the perfect jumping off point to plan your Hawaiʻi getaway. Most visitors to the island renta a car for their stay. This will allow you to adventure the entire island. The booking fee includes free parking with permit on premise. If you choose to skip the rental car though, you cannot beat this location for its central location for enjoying Kona. Take a cab from the airport. There is a Kona Trolley that runs up and down Ali’i Drive you can use to get around town, $2 per person each ride. You can find the schedule and stops here by googling "kona trolley." Another option for exploring Kona is renting a bike from the bikeshare automated kiosks! Look for the blue bikes right across the street on Alii’i Dr. An important way to care for Hawai’i is to chose reef safe sunscreen. Because of the harmful effects on reefs, in 2018 Hawai’i passed a ban on sunscreens containing oxybenzone and octinoxate – two of the more dangerous ingredients. When choosing a sunscreen we like minerals such as non-nano zinc oxide (or titanium dioxide) in a natural base.
