Bed and breakfast in Fairhaven

Comfortable, historic inn located in the village center of a classic seaport. Walk to restaurants, fishing piers, bike path, beach, shopping. Short drive to museums, ferries, beaches, cape, Newport, Boston, etc. Breakfast included. One large room with a king-sized bed and private bath. The bath is a few feet away in private area and we provide robes. But, if you want two rooms and are comfortable sharing the bath, please let us know and we can give you a price for two rooms with shared bath. The space Our largest King-sized bedroom. Private bath is just a few steps outside the room and we provide robes. The Homestead is located in Fairhaven's historical, New England town center, with leafy streets, fishing boats, and beautiful architecture. There is a nice yard with gardens and a park with a running track a block away. There is a bicycle path two blocks away. There is a nice, 2-mile run/ walk to the ocean and back. The house is near beaches, parks, restaurants, ferry to Martha's vineyard. Within 30 mins of Newport, Providence, Cape Cod. Within an hour of two airports, Boston, and Martha's Vineyard. The residence is historical with Greek Revival Architecture. It was in FDR's family for over 110 years. While it has a historical ambiance, it is a laid back and friendly place. Ask the Innkeeper for advice on your stay or stay to yourself, whatever suits you best. From the house, you can walk to the fishing harbor, restaurants, library, beach, parks. We are only a mile or so from the ferry to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, as well as the New Bedford Whaling Museum. We are within 40 minutes an of Newport and 30 minutes to Cape Cod, Providence, and many beaches. Within an hour, find two airports, Boston, mid-Cape, ferry to Nantucket, whale watching, Plymouth Plantation, etc. Guest access Guests have access to their bedroom and bath, living room, dining room, kitchen, gardens and greenhouse. They can make their own coffee at any time or have a piece of fruit or snack. We serve an over-sized continental breakfast in am (included). Can also walk to restaurants, shops, fishing pier, beach, etc. During your stay I am here to answer any questions or help in any way. Or you can have all the private space that you like. We also give guests our cell phone numbers in case they have any questions when they are out and about. Other things to note Check in after 2 PM. Check out before 11 am. Please make sure that you give us your ETA and cell number as we are a small place and want to be sure that we are here to greet you. If arriving late, please call as you arrive rather than ring the bell.
