This charming cottage is convenient to everything that Chatham and Cape Cod offers. It is a very short walk to the beach at Schoolhouse Pond, one-mile from ocean beaches, and a short drive to Chatham town center with restaurants and shopping. You’ll love relaxing on the private deck and backyard where you can sunbathe, read, bird watch, play with your dog and grill with the kids. The cottage is good for couples, families (with kids), with an additional charge/deposit for furry friends (pets). You will enjoy your beach vacation in this lovely Chatham home, with 4-beds 2-bath, steps from Schoolhouse Pond and a mile from the ocean beaches and the town. You will be very close to biking trails, and surrounded by fishing opportunities, boating, and the shops and restaurants on Main Street. There’s a cozy living area with gas fireplace, large dining table, and three comfortable bedrooms sleeping 6. Head outdoors and take in the flowers and trees in the private back yard area. And when all that fresh air has given you a hungry appetite, spend the evening in one of the many excellent restaurants and bars. Enjoy! INSIDE THE HOUSE Inside the home you’ll find an inviting open concept living area with a gas fireplace, comfortable sofas, and a large picture window looking out over the private deck, backyard, and Schoolhouse Pond in the distance. There is a HD TV with cable, a DVD player, and Bose speakers for listening to music. The cottage has central air-conditioning for hot days and screened windows and doors to let the cool breezes in as well. Nearby, a dining room seats 6, and is open to the kitchen so the cooks are part of the conversation while they cook on the granite island. Custom wood cabinets, granite counters and a fully eqipped kitchen with appliances and cookware make it fun for the cook. You can also cook and eat outside on the private deck with a large outdoor dining set and umbrella. Grill on the BBQ gas grill and cook lobsters or side dishes on the gas side burner outside. The three bedrooms are decorated in classic Cape Cod style, with a queen bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the second guest room and two twin beds in the third bedroom. One bathroom has a tub/shower combo and double sinks with marble vanity; the smaller bathroom has a shower and artistic tile around the sink. The cottage is furnished with games, toys and puzzles and beach chairs/gear for your use during your stay. OUR LOCATION Cape Cod charm and peace and quiet abounds in this great location a two minute walk to Schoolhouse Pond. A mile away lie the South Chatham beaches (Hardings and Ridgevale Beaches). Close to Main Street there is a wide choice of restaurants and shops, from the Chatham Village Market to specialist lobster store Chatham Fish&Lobster. And you can't miss the beautiful Chatham Lighthouse, Lighthouse beach, and Monomoy preservation area, only 10 minutes away by car! You will have full and private use of the cottage, the front and back yards, and the private deck. There is parking for two cars. There is a minimum stay of 3 nights during the summer season; a 5% discount for a weekly rental and a 15% discount for a monthly rental. We live in the local area and will be available for any assistance you might need during your stay. Our quiet and secluded neighborhood is made up of very small, quiet dirt roads with only a few houses and yards. It opens onto a larger cross street, which gives easy access to the main roads through Chatham. Its location is convenient and you can walk or ride your bike on the bike path nearby to the center of town, the Anglers ball park, playground, the Chatham Fish Pier, and Oyster Pond, a great family beach that has free parking for everyone. We are located off Exit 11 on Route 6; you will need a car to drive to the beaches, restaurants, Monomoy conservation area, and nearby towns such as Orleans, Harwich, Brewster, Eastham, the Cape Cod National Seashore, Wellfleet, Truro, and Provincetown.
