Williamstown apartment, family and hiking friendly
Perched on Pine Cobble Mountain in Williamstown, our one-bedroom apartment is a forested home base for your adventures in the Berkshires. The apartment is newly refurbished and family friendly, and we look forward to your visit here. The 600 square-foot apartment has its own entrance, living/dining area, an equipped kitchenette, a bathroom with shower, and a bedroom. We can also provide gear for kids of all ages, including a booster seat, a Pack 'n Play, and toys. You and your family and friends have the apartment to yourselves during your stay. Outdoor spaces are shared but please feel free to sit on the porch and enjoy the nature around you. We have a resident barred owl, many songbirds, woodpeckers, a part-time resident porcupine, deer, and fox. We also get some occasional visitors including bear, bobcat, and coyote. The apartment is attached to the main house, and we'll be available if you need us during your stay. Please message us via Airbnb if you need assistance or have questions. You will be able to self check-in upon arrival. For those eager to stretch their legs, a well marked and popular hiking trail will take you from our neighborhood to the top of Pine Cobble Mountain, with views of the Hoosic River Valley. More intrepid explorers can continue upward into the Clarksburg State Forest and the Appalachian Trail. There's also a host of great non-hiking things to do no more than a thirty-minute drive away, including the Hancock Shaker Village, Jiminy Peak, and art museums galore. Our safe and quiet neighborhood is just a five-minute drive from Spring Street and the center of Williams College. MASS MoCA and the Clark are within 10 minutes away. Getting to and from the Albany International Airport should take about an hour. Because the apartment is attached to our house, you will hear us talking and moving about at times. We are generally busy in the house between 4:00 and 8:30 pm weekdays and are in and out on the weekends. We have a cat and two dogs, but none of them are allowed in the apartment between guests. Hopper the dog (black shepadoodle) and TC the cat are super friendly, so feel free to say hi if you see them outside. Note that the apartment is separated from the main house by a door that is kept locked. Please do not leave food in your car because there are black bears in the area.
