Welcome to Piscataway! A wonderful charming older home with a private apartment to call your own. Located in a lovely quiet family neighborhood. PLUS close to Rutgers University/ RWJ hospital ,NJ Transit Train to NYC, 15-20 mins to Amtrak trains, 40 mins to EWR Airport, 1.5 hour to Beach and easily accessible from major highways (rt 22, 287, NJ turnpike). May not be suitable for infants and children under the age of 14. The space You have your own private entrance to a Two Bedroom unit on the second floor of a cozy older multi family home. The master room has a queen size bed, while the other is a twin but can extend to a full size at night. Both have medium size closets and dressers. Suite includes one bathroom, kitchen, and basic living room. This apartment is only for those registerd on the Airbnb rental. No visitors, for any time, are allowed. ⚠️ The are other tenants living below your unit, please be respectful and avoid loud noises and door slamming during the night. It's an older home, so walls are thin. Well kept and clean quiet neighborhood with short distances to 2 small parks. We are close to stelton road that has 24/7 laundry service, dining, stores, food, saloon, doctors, library, and other things like dunellen train station, and highways. There is a long staircase up to the unit. Unit comes with street parking right in front of the home. Having the same neighbors for a long time now, everyone keeps to their own parking spaces. May be certain times in summer, it might be unavailable but you can park anywhere on the street. Winter time during heavy snow days, please park on our driveway so the township can plow the streets. Free Wi-Fi is available including a smart TV with Roku. Not including cable channels. Guest Mode is enabled so you can add your own accounts and it will be reset when you check-out. The nearest train station is Dunellen Station (raritan line) which is a 5-minute drive or 15-20 minute walk. Including bus stop. Lyft and uber are available in the area. Please treat our home as if it were your own. We can provide linens and towels during your stay. We expect guests to keep areas tidy and clean immediate spillage. Guest access Master Bedroom: 16 x 10 space, queen bed, small closest, accordion/slider door. ( will have a leaning desk + extra dresser) Bedroom #2: 8.5 x 11 small closest, Twin bed comfortably- can extend to a full size. We recommend to only extend when you are sleeping since you will lose more walking space in room. Living room: 9x11 space. Loveseat seating. Smart Tv. if you add your own accounts, please remember to sign out before you check out. Kitchen/Dining Room: Basic Setup. Gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, water heater and small dining table. We do NOT have the following items: oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, etc. Bathroom: One shower, no bath. Has another mirror with storage. Warning: flushing the toilet while the shower is on, will cause the shower water to be extremely hot for a few seconds Attic: Not shared. If there is an emergency, the owners will ask you for permission before entering. Backyard: The downstairs owners have direct access to this space from the back. If you are interested in using this space to relax and/or grill during your stay. Just let us know. Parking space: You can park for free in front of our home. Have your car windshield face the main street (william street). The only times you may lose the space will be (1) Thursday's evenings during the summer - free music event at the pond, (2) a few times in summer if there are bbq's/bdays going on weekends, (3) winter time - For heavy snow, will have to park the night before on our driveway for townships snow trucks to pass through. - Other things to note For guests staying less than a week: Please make sure to put all trash and recyclables in its respective bins. Quickly rinse recyclables from food and liquid (if other than water). Any uncleaned kitchenware, please place in sink. For guests a month(+): We would greatly appreciate it if you can place the trash bags and recyclables (pre-rinsed) outside in its respective bins. More details in the "Home Manual". If you would like basic weekly cleaning during your stay please ask us for quote. Winter Season: The owners are more Senior, they will not be able to shovel snow early or quickly. If you need to leave early, you will need to assist in shoveling the snow from your patio entrance. We provide shovels. If there is a forecast for heavy snow the next day, you will need to park in the main driveway. Please be aware that if you have a car, we ask that you'll be responsible for your part in shoveling the snow off the driveway and cleaning off your car. Please note: This is an older home, so you may lose hot water if the toilet and/or sink and/or shower are running at the same time. This also includes if the other downstairs owners run their laundry unit. ⚠️ Noise level: We do live near a commercial train line (see map) and main road. Living here for decades, we don't hear it anymore but if your a super light sleeper then you may have trouble as the train can sometimes go by around 11 pm and again in the early AM. But it's not so loud to the point you can't hear yourself.
