Welcome to the Freeman's Grove Benevolent Society! Artist's apartment/gallery with kitchen, bath, one bedroom, and a sleeping nook. It is an open floor plan, for heating purposes there are curtains (no doors) on the bedroom and sleeping nook. Sleeps 4 people comfortably. The walk from MASS MoCA to the house is flat except the last block which is STEEP! The apartment is a flight and a half off the street, so be prepared for some stairs. Amazon Alexa controls most of the lights just say "Alexa lights" as you come in. also the stereo is connected.."Alexa play (insert name here) on spotify" and she should play that. and of course you can control volume just by asking . #fgbs The T.V. has a Chromecast connected to it. you'll need the chromecast app on your phone or laptop ..find the remote and make sure the input is set to hdmi2 ,( i think) and you can mirror your netflix etc. on the tv. also note you can change the Stereo amp to TV setting and connect the audio from tv to stereo. we dont subscribe to any cable services. Guest access You are welcome to use any space in the third floor apartment. The backdoor, which is the private entrance for the apartment, is accessed via a spiral staircase at the back of the house. Other things to note There is Street parking on Hall St. . Occasionally, there may be a single spot located next to the house. Please do not park too close to the intersection of North Holden and Hall. Be sure an leave a space for my neighbor to park Directly in front of his house, he's been parking there his whole life as well as his father and his father before that..We are also happy to greet you upon arrival and direct you to the best spot to park.
