Great base camp for your adventures in Yellowstone and the surrounding area. Up to 3 guests in this little cabin with a twin and one full mattress. No TV, but we have Starlink WiFi. This cabin has a small kitchenette with microwave, coffee maker, double burner and mini fridge. Soaps and basic kitchen amenities are provided. Heat is electric right now. The interior is a little dark but we have lots of lights in there now. This cabin is an adorable studio log cabin. It has a propane heater inside, a small kitchenette, a bathroom with a walk in shower and 3 beds. One of the beds is a floor mattress the guest must make up for themselves. There is toilet paper, a mini fridge, a double hot plate, microwave, coffee maker and dishes available for use. Clean linens are provided. The lighting is low but we have added 3 lamps. You get the entire 200 square feet! We give our guests space but are in town and available to meet most days. Currently Winter Time: The only road into Cooke during the winter is through Yellowstone National Park (fees apply) from the entrance in Gardiner MT (Western entrance). It is also possible to trailer up snowmobiles, park at Pilot on highway 212 and ride in less than ten miles on snowmobiles to Cooke City (Eastern entrance). Permits are required for snowmobiles. Permits and more info can be obtained at the Exxon or Bearclaw Bob's. There are four consistent restaurants in town during winter, Wooka's Wild Eats, Cooke City Coffee, Miners Saloon and Prospectors. Wooka's has the BEST food. Everything you need is in town is with in walking distance. Summer Time: Everything you'll need can be found right off the Highway 212 and most places are with in walking distance. You can get to Cooke from either direction, through Yellowstone National Park exiting the North East Gate or by using Beartooth Highway and/or Chief Joseph Highway. You can find ATVs to rent in town and drive out onto trails surrounding the tiny city. Horseback rides are also available nearby. We allow up to 3 adults but we don't suggest it. 3 adults in this unit is tight. There is absolutely no cell phone service in Cooke City. The lighting is low. You need to be able to step up to the cabin.
