Located right on Magazine Street in the Historic Garden District, you will be in the heart of the best dining, nightlife and shopping in New Orleans, plus you will be a 5 minute walk to the famous St. Charles Ave and its Streetcar, and only a short distance to the French Quarter. This beautifully renovated apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a full kitchen making it the perfect place for groups to stay! The space This spacious 3 bedroom apartment, located in a historic Pre-Civil War building, has beautiful period touches including the original fireplaces, antique hardwood floors, and soaring ceilings, plus updated amenities including a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, central A/C and three memory foam queen beds, to make for an authentic New Orleans experience! Sleeping: Three bedrooms with comfortable queen size beds with memory foam mattresses and a closet to store belongings. An air mattress can also be provided by the host with advanced notice. Kitchen: The enormous kitchen is perfect for cooking a light snack or a full meal, with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave and stove, plus pots, pans, dishware, utensils & cooking staples such as salt, pepper & olive oil. A drip coffee maker is provided, with complementary coffee, filters & sugar for your convenience. Dining: The dining table, located in the kitchen, comfortably seats 4 guests and can also be used as a desk or work area. Living Area: The light-filled living room is spacious and open with windows, and has a sofa, chairs and TV. Entertainment: The living room has a large, flat screen TV with a streaming device that can be used with your personal accounts such as Netflix, HULU or Prime. We also provide free high-speed WIFI. Please note that we do not have cable/satellite TV, but do provide an HD antenna that receives several channels. Bathroom: The bathrooms are fairly small and includes two bathtub/showers. Outdoor Spaces: The apartment has access to the large, grassy backyard which is perfect for children and pets to play in! Parking: There is no on-site parking available, but there is free street parking right in front of the building on Magazine street and the closest side streets, and is generally easy to find outside of busy times such as Mardi Gras. Paid street parking starts a block from the unit so you may want to be mindful of that. Washer & Dryer: For convenience, guests may use the washer & dryer, located in the small building in the backyard, free of charge. Central Air Conditioning: We have central air conditioning to help keep you cool and comfortable during the warm, New Orleans summers! *** Please Note *** The apartment is located on the ground floor, and may have slight noise from the street and other building residents above. There are 3 stairs to access the building, and two steps up into the bedroom from the hallway. Guest access Guests have access to the entire apartment, plus the shared outdoor spaces. We request that you do not use the shared spaces after 10 PM. Electronic Door Lock: For your convenience, we utilize an electronic door lock to make check-in/check-out simple and to make sure you never have to worry about carrying around your keys. We will send the code and instructions before your stay. Other things to note There are full-time tenants living in the building and therefore, all guests are asked to adhere to a strict, no excessive noise policy after 10pm. Although we do not typically receive complaints about noise, this is a very old building (dating back before the Civil War), so the walls are thin and we like guests to be aware of that, and respectful of neighbors during their stay. There also may be slight amounts of noise from the street. There is no off-street parking available with this unit. There is only on-street public parking available (both on Magazine Street and side streets). Please be mindful that just a block away you do have to pay to park during certain times during the day. As long as you park on the block in front of building and/or magazine going downtown you will be just fine. Extra Guests: We do charge $25/night for each guest over 2. We will provide an air mattress and extra linens for the extra guests to us, please contact us ahead of time to arrange. There are 3 stairs to climb to access the building from the outside door. ** Pets** We now accept dogs and other permanently caged animals only. No cats. Pets are assessed non-refundable “Pet Rent” of $75 or $25/night, whichever is greater for the first pet, while the second pet receives a 50% discount. This rate is not included in our quoted price - it is an additional surcharge. Please contact us prior to check in to arrange for the additional "Pet Rent". All dogs must remain on the leash while in public spaces. Dog owner must pick up all waste. Dogs must not exhibit excessive barking or other behaviors which disrupt the quiet enjoyment of any other space in the building. Dog owner shall not allow any pets on to any furniture for any reason. Dog owner is responsible for all pet hair and “shedding”. Landlord will pass along any additional extra cleaning fees to dog owner. Dog owner is responsible for any and all damage to the apartment, furniture, or other property by pet.
