Renovated 1830's-era house with all the charm of the real Cape Cod, packed with modern amenities and style. This family farmhouse is located in the middle of all the action of Woods Hole village and Martha's Vineyard can be seen at a distance. Well equipped kitchen with basic appliances including coffee machine, toaster and all the plates/pots and pans needed for cooking. Also on site is a gas grill and an outdoor shower. Off street parking for one vehicle included in your reservation. This farmhouse sits boastfully above a Studio Apartment available for separate rental while being property neighbors to our quaint Cape Cod cottage. There is also a shared lawn space and driveway. One bedroom and one bathroom are located on the first-floor while the other three bedrooms and bathroom are located on the second floor. Unique to the Cape Cod style, are those charming narrow/steep steps which are featured in this building to get to the second floor. We do have a child's gate as well as a door that can close this stairway off as a safety precaution if you choose. The Farmhouse consists of a studio apartment in the lowermost part of the building. This is a separate rental unit occupied by other guests. If you would like to add this apartment to your rental we would be happy to let you know if it is available for your dates. This rental would add an additional full bed, full bath, small living room and small kitchen. The Farmhouse has full access to a basement with washer dryer, first floor and second floor. The Farmhouse also has a patio with tables and chairs, as well as a shared backyard with another rental unit further back on the property and a shared parking area. This property is managed by the Woods Hole Inn, located within a couple minutes walk from the Little Harbor Farmhouse. This property is self check-in, with access to the lock box combination sent directly to you on the day of. But never fear help is always just a moment away! Should you have any questions about anything, things to do, things to see, places to eat all over Cape Cod and the Islands, our front desk staff is more than happy to help with suggestions and reservations between the hours of 9am and 6pm daily, and an innkeeper after hours for emergencies. By being affiliated with the Woods Hole Inn you have access to borrowing our complimentary bikes and a ride in our beach buggy for rides to the beach all upon request. Woods Hole (a village of Falmouth, Mass) is on a peninsula on the southernmost tip of Cape Cod surrounded by beaches, water, and ferries to the islands. The center of Woods Hole has the ferry to Martha's Vineyard making day trips to the island a snap. But there is plenty to do on vacation right in Woods Hole itself, including myriad shops, waterfront restaurants and several world class beaches within walking distance. Woods Hole is also an epicenter of scientific research, offering you the perfect opportunity to "explore planet ocean" with world class research institutions. Visit the free aquarium, touch tank at the Buzzards Bay Coalition, or explore ocean sciences and the discovery of the Titanic at the WHOI Exhibit Center. No need for a car in Woods Hole, as everything is within walking distance or borrow one of our complimentary bikes to explore a little more into Falmouth. There is also an old-time trolley that runs during the summer months that will WHOOSH you around Falmouth and Woods Hole easily. If you would like to expand further out onto the Cape you might consider renting a car. We have increased our already well-developed and extensive cleaning procedures to meet the new risks of Covid19, and we wanted to share with you exactly what we have done. This is a fluid situation, and we may make additional changes in the weeks to come as we take as many precautionary measures as possible to protect the health and welfare of our guests and staff. We have extended procedures within each property we take care of to include using CDC guidelines with disinfectants to meet EPA criteria for use against SARS-COV2. Each room will be cleaned thoroughly paying great attention to high-touch, hard non-porous items such as: door knobs, light switches, counters, tables, desks, bathrooms, keys, handrails, handles, indoor and outdoor seating areas, knobs, remote controls, television, toilet seats, water faucet handles, nightstands, temperature controlled panels, alarm clocks and luggage racks. All linens will be washed professionally with a nearby linen facility. All floors, rugs and cloth furniture will be vacuumed and mopped after each guest departure. In addition, staff are required to wear gloves during the cleaning process and anytime a staff member is on site checking on the property prior to guest arrival. Our staff is required to stay home if they do not feel well, and we have reiterated our sick pay policy to encourage reporting of any concerns. We are as concerned about your health as you are, and we know we can all work together to get through these challenging times. In all of these decisions, we are balancing the very real public health impact of COVID-19 with our desire to remain open for your needs.
