Welcome to Ankeny! Private lower-level apartment on a quiet cul-de-sac neighborhood in south east Ankeny, you'll have an entire basement suite for your stay. This space is perfect for groups, families, or business travelers, and can sleep up to 5 people. The suite features a gas fireplace, queen size bed, full size futon, full size air mattress, coffee nook, and TV with Netflix. Conveniently located near I-35 with great access to restaurants, breweries and more in both Des Moines and Ames areas. This cozy private basement suite has rustic "Up North" cabin-style decor. Take a short walk down a small hill to the backyard to reach the private patio entrance where you will find the key lock box. *(Or enter through home during winter months)* The basement suite has a bedroom with queen sized bed and a large walk-in closet. A spacious private living room has a full sized futon, TV with Netflix and local channels, desk, and dining table. There is ample room for both the futon and a full sized air mattress. You will have a private bath with shower. Our coffee and snack corner has a microwave, Keurig with coffee pods, sugar, and creamer, and dorm-size refrigerator for your use. You can enjoy the ground-level private patio with Adirondack chairs surrounded by beautiful gardens. Please no smoking anywhere on the property. I live in the upper part of the house and am often at home, when not at work. I'm very available for any assistance you may need; feel free to text me. I enjoy meeting my guests but will also respect your privacy. I am comfortable communicating through AirBnB messaging. Please be respectful of noise after 10 pm on weekdays and 11 pm on weekends, and I will do the same. The neighborhood is quiet, family-oriented. There are many restaurants, coffee shops, and stores within 1-2 miles. "Uptown Ankeny" and "The District" areas offer many more dining and entertainment choices, such as Firetrucker Brewery, Porchlight Coffee, Jethro's Barbecue, and Fong's Pizza. Located less than 2 miles from the start of the very popular High Trestle Trail for biking or walking. Ankeny is very easy to navigate. We are located just 1-2 miles from Interstate 80/35, making Ankeny very accessible to Ames, downtown Des Moines, the Adventureland Amusement Park, and surrounding suburbs. Note: The small hill leading to the apartment entrance may be slippery when wet.
