In the ❤️ of downtown! Perfect for larger groups.
Stay in the heart of downtown Decorah at Red's Retreat & Guesthouse! Perched on Water Street and across from the Vesterheim Museum, our 3 level farm house is steps away from the Trout Run bike trail, Upper Iowa River, Whippy Dip, Mabes, Pulpit Rock Brewery, Luther College, the farmers market and more! After a busy day discovering the driftless area, the converted garage can house your bikes, kayaks & more while you relax on the private covered patio. We invite you to stay with us! Our large farm house will comfortable fit a large family or friends gathering in Decorah. A sun porch, covered patio and deck are perfect places to retreat to as guests can scatter about the property. The additional common space is complete with tables, chairs and a half bath and can accommodate up to 40 people comfortably, perfect to host reunions, showers, family gatherings and retreats. Guests have full access to the home and outdoor spaces, along with 2 off-street parking spaces. We are life-long Decorah area residents and would love to offer recommendations on things to do while visiting the driftless area. We can also offer guided hunting experiences, canoe and/or kayaking trips and more. Our location is perfect for forgetting about your car during your stay as you can walk to everything! Restaurants, breweries, a food coop, museums and shopping are just steps away. We have 2 off street parking spots as well as ample street parking. There is a great taxi service that can be used during the day as well as a BruHop bus that can take you around to the breweries on the weekends. Guest count above 13 will be charged an additional $50 per night per guest to offset additional cleaning & laundry. Please note that we do not charge a cleaning fee regardless of guest count.
