Our modern Dwell Magazine inspired fully self-contained eco-farm loft is located 1 mile from Kehena black sand beach in lower Puna on the scenic coastal Red Road. Enjoy access to a thriving permacultural eco-conscious farm. This bright, modern, tropical eco-farm loft is the ideal vacation setting for one or two adults or a small family. With high ceilings, crisp, relaxing surroundings and privacy blinds, the colorful expansive loft combines luxury with open-air island living. The large thousand square foot covered outdoor lanai (patio) has a dining table, day bed, sofa and two chairs. Guests have their own gourmet, open-flow kitchen and many spacious, comfortable areas for lounging. The loft has an indoor/outdoor shower, plus a private infrared sauna. Located at Wai Mana you will have access to abundant non-GMO, organic gardens (after a farm tour), delicious purified drinking water, serene settings for enjoying quiet moments. A few more notes: - All cleaning products used on site are natural and non-toxic. - We provide high quality sheets, towels and bedding. - Free Wi-Fi is available. -We also have an outdoor cat, a coop of chickens for eggs and a thriving hive of bees that provide us our honey. ** Note that this listing does NOT include the Hawaii state tax of 17.75% which will be collected in cash upon your arrival. The loft has an adjoining Airbnb self-contained studio unit that can be booked at the same time for friends and family This unit has a shared garden entry and a private huge covered lanai for dining + relaxing. Also available on site for use are 2 bikes, yoga mats + props and an infrared sauna! Our policy is to listen to our guest's needs and interact accordingly. Included in your stay, we offer a complimentary welcome bowl of organic farm grown + local produce, including spinach, citrus, and whatever else we have in season. We also offer private farm tours for a fee ($25/unit) to familiarize you with our Eco-Conscious Permaculture farm and food harvesting practices, in case you would like to self-harvest from the farm during your stay. Or get involved with Malama Aina (Tending to the Land) by a 1hr contribution through service as exchange for harvest. We do require that you attend a farm tour or Malama Aina before self-harvesting our organic teas, greens, herbs, fruit and food. If you would like to schedule a farm tour, please schedule with the farm host with at least 48-72 hours notice. Jared + Jason are your farm hosts, and are available if needed to make sure you have a great stay. Wai Mana is an eco-conscious sanctuary working with the rhythms of nature and the culture of water as the sustainer of all life. Wai Mana farm is located in the neighborhood of Seaview, a friendly, safe, eclectic and fun-loving tropical community off of the scenic Red Road. There are two parks, and a performing arts center for education in the neighborhood. While a local bus stop is two blocks away, a car is generally recommended to get around easily on the Big Island. Biking along the world famous coastal Red Road is a must. We have two bikes, snorkeling gear, yoga mats and props available for guest use. Important, please note that the price of this listing does NOT include the Hawaii State Sales Tax of 17.75%, please have that ready to pay in cash upon your arrival. This is a lovely, yet small scale permacultural property. We feel there are acceptable levels of visual and sound privacy; please note that the guest units are close together, and sound can travel. The loft shares a wall with our studio unit. While each of our guest units are private + self-contained, you may see/hear other guests/staff in community areas (ie. garden grounds) of Wai Mana during your stay. We are a community + let's make friends. Your Kitchen is stocked with these items: First morning's fair trade organic coffee, farm-harvested honey, organic coconut oil, organic apple cider vinegar, Hawaiian sea salt, black pepper, fresh teas, farm produce and farm-fresh eggs when available. Cooking equipment includes coffee grinder, french press, citrus juicer, variety of pots and pans, cooking/serving utensils, kettle, blender, to-go containers, plastic wrap and tin foil, toaster oven, 4 burner gas stove, and outdoor grill. Please know that this rental is in a jungle environment and although we do our best to keep harmless pests under control, like geckos, ants and flying bugs, they are here and there may be occasional sightings. The historical plantation town of Pahoa is a 20 minute drive away from Seaview. It offers stores and is home to some great foodie spots and affordable farmer's markets with fresh local produce. We are located four miles from Uncle Robert's Awa Bar, which has a morning market on Saturdays (9am – 12 pm), which has great local food + craft vendors. A small corner store Kaimu Corner with ATM is also accessible at Uncle Robert's for basic necessities. We are remotely located 3 hours from the Kona airport (KOA), and 1 hour from the Hilo airport (ITO), on the Big Island of Hawaii. Our internet is great for emails + texts and general surfing - we have had many digital nomads working successfully from their unit, but best if only one unit is streaming videos at a time.
