Honoka’a Ohana on the Main strip of town!

This guest house is right on the strip of Historic Honokaa Town. 1 min walk to the strip of town to Shave ice shop, restaurants, pub, cafe, theatre, groceries and shops. Only 15 mins drive to Waipio Valley, with black sand beaches, water falls, it's the 2nd most visited spot! You have your own private newly renovated space. A great Hawaiian experience, perfectly located on the north side which makes it easy to explore both sides of the island! The space It has a new queen size memory foam bed, small kitchenette with induction burners, pots, dishes, coffee maker and mini fridge. Your own ensuite out door bathroom, with new tiled shower, vanity, and eco friendly top of the line compositing toilet used in tiny homes. It has a built in fan that dries and turns everything into compost so there's no smell, you just do you business like normal! Ohana front yard opens into banana trees, citrus, sour sap and lychee! You get to experience old Hawaii feel like you are in the country yet with the convince of walking to town! We do have the occasional Hawaii Geckos that runs into the cottage and will steal food if left out, they also leave poo droppings in random areas, do not be alarmed it’s not mice. This is something Hawaii has learned to live with as these geckos keeps the bug population down. There also the occasional wild boars and chickens that roam the town. It’s an experience and we want you to be aware incase you run into them. We have free parking in the front and sides of building plus free on the streets. Occasionally a gecko may run into the cottage and you may see dropping, these are not mice droppings they are geckos. In Hawaii the geckos keep the big population down.
