'The Red House'- Classic Cape Cod duplex in an estate setting has plenty of room for an active family or group. Walk or bike (we do not provide bikes, however, there is a bike rental shop nearby) to beaches, play tennis on the private clay court, The kids will love running around in the yard or playing croquet. Easy access to the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. In the heart of Quissett, the Red House has been the go-to vacation home for the same two families and their friends for 100 years! The historic house is a mix of Old World charm and comfortable updates. The kitchen is well-equipped- with service for 12+, ample pots and pans, and a coffee maker, dining room seats 12 with space for more, wet bar, TV room, and oversized living room. Grill available to guests. The downstairs has central air conditioning, the bedrooms have individual air conditioners. Entire half of the house and the front porch, parking for 4 cars, the frog pond, and driveway side of the yard. 2 acre yard. Minimal interaction. Your hosts are next door in case there are questions, but this side of the house is yours. Beautiful Quissett Harbor is around the corner; walk out to the Knob and Crescent beach or just sit and watch the boats. Access Town of Falmouth beaches on Vineyard Sound -Trunk River beach is free. There is Uber service available in the area. The WHOOSH trolley to Woods Hole and Falmouth runs right by the house. It runs from June 27th to September 7th. $2.00 a person each way. The house is not suitable for guests who are challenged by climbing stairs as the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second floor. $400.00 security deposit $175.00 cleaning fee. Three night minimum.
