Peace and Quiet is one of the salient features of home - besides the calm environment of the neighborhood and I also maintain a "non-drama" household - also, proximity to Harvard/MIT/Boston is another plus point that my guests enjoy! The space PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: DO NOT BOOK a reservation BEFORE you have corresponded with me and I have REPLIED BACK TO YOU. Thank You ____________________________________ Our beautiful, spacious, airy apt. has a large, furnished room with three windows that brings in sparkling sunshine. The room has its own private entrance which is a very popular feature of the room as it allows one to come and go as one pleases without walking through the rest of the house. The room also has a private porch (pic) with seating to enjoy your coffee and muffin - and last but not least a ceiling fan helps with sleeping during hot days - We also have an air conditioner, so guests can sleep in comfort during the heatwave days. The room - and apartment for that matter , has a very "quiet, meditative vibe" - (since I am a Meditation teacher with a regular practice) which makes for a very restorative ambiance. The apt. is on a very quiet, residential one way street. It is a pretty, tree lined street and the air is full of birdsong at most times. The apt. is about 2 blocks to Davis square which has a whole variety of restaurants, bars, coffeehouses, grocery stores and a great old movie theater. It is also a VERY SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD -and I say this particularly for women who are interested in this listing. I often walk home around midnight after having dinner with friends and I have always felt safe doing that. I have never felt this safe in any other neighborhood that I have lived at. The street is well lit and the houses are owned by people who have lived on the street for generations. There are also quite a few graduate students and young professionals that rent in on this street. We also have private parking in the driveway for anyone who has a vehicle. We are clean, neat people and the apt. reflects that - it has new hardwood floors and a modern feel to it. There is free Wireless internet and the basement has a washer/dryer in it (coin-op). You share the kitchen with us for making a salad or a sandwich. The bathroom is also shared but it has never been a problem in all the years I have done Airbnb as we have different schedules.
