LOCATED JUST 2 MILES FROM THE KONA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. YOU CAN ARRIVE AS LATE AS YOU WISH! NO CURFEW! This is a local Hawaiian home and yes, we do live in the house with you and in fact, my bedroom is directly across from yours. So, the safety and security is of the utmost importance! We ask that you honor, respect and live by the Hawaiian culture. Please be kind and considerate of one another, as well as abide by the “House Rules”. It is customary in Hawaii to remove your shoe, sandals and or slippers, before entering the house. The local Hawaiian style is; like our parents would say… no be shame, make yourself at home. So, you are allowed to navigate your way around the kitchen to cook and find what you need. Please remember to turn off the stove/oven and keep the refrigerator/freezer doors closed at all times. Please do not leave the milk out. It is very hot in Hawaii. Your bedroom is private and it DOES NOT have its own bathroom. The room is very comfortable, spacious, clean and has Aircondition! In order to use the AC, you have to agree to the terms before you arrive. The main bathroom is down the hallway, first door on the right and it is shared with other Airbnb guests. This type of travel is not for everyone, it is for open minded people whose expectations are not of a hotel stay, but of staying with family. The washer and dryer is OFF LIMITS to ALL guests… and yes, if you ask, the answer will still be NO. So sorry! Guest will have access to cable television, Netflix, and password secured Wi-Fi. In the shared bathroom, we provide towels, body wash, shampoo and conditioner for your convenience. Off LIMITS are the laundry room (washer and dryer) and all other bedrooms that are not yours. I love “talking story” with our guests, telling them about historical and insightful things to see and do, during their stay. I do provide a “This Week Big Island” (maps of the Big Island). Kona Palisades Subdivision is safe and centrally located to most places. Just 2 miles from the Kona International Airport, 3 miles to the closest Surf spot (Kohanaiki), Pine Tree café, Kona Mountain Coffee and Costco. The town of Kailua-Kona, restaurant, shopping and groceries, is just 7 miles away. PLEASE NOTE: That the public transportation (Hele On Bus) here in Kona, comes through twice daily, (to Hilo town)... it does not operate on Sunday’s and Holidays. Uber and Lyft is available on the island, also... to and from the Kona Airport. To get the best of what the Big Island has to offer, it is recommended that you rent a car... you must have a negative Covid test, in-order to rent a car. Please search for (discount hawaii car rentals), Kayak, Price Slasher, Hot Wire, for the best discounted rates... or Costco, for those of you who are members. PLEASE NOTE: The map of the home address that is provided here on this site, by Airbnb, is incorrect, (it pinpoint the airport location as my home), and they (Airbnb) are not able to fix the problem. Please use the home address on goggles maps to find this location. 1. Please provide your flight information and or your arrival time? Should you already be on the Big Island, your most accurate time of arrival? 2. Please park out on the street, it is complementary! NO PARKING OR DRIVING ON THE GRASS. Thank you! 3.
