This is a hosted vacation rental with a full time tenant living downstairs. Please be mindful of the noise and courteous of our neighbors. Clean and comfortably furnished, spacious 2 bedroom home near to restaurants, shopping, the university, the zoo and all the wonderful things to see in Hilo town. Host lives downstairs and are available for any requests, but offer you full privacy to enjoy the upstairs space to yourself. The location of this rental is so convenient yet feels tucked away. It's at the end of a quiet street, just 5-10 minutes to the mall, downtown, the zoo and the ocean. You will love the sound of the Kanelehua rain as it pours down on the tin roof. It will soon pass and the sun will shine on the beauty of Hilo. Enjoy the verdant town, the farmer's markets, the nearby waterfalls and adventures that await you! The living rom is spacious and offers a smart TV, WiFi and amply space to stretch out and relax. The Download speed is 218 mbps and Upload speed is 10.7 mbps (for those of you who will be working/schooling remotely). The large kitchen is fully stocked with all the amenities you need to cook your meals at home. (Although you will want to try many of the amazing places to eat out in Hilo town.) Transient Accommodations#: TA-157-130-7520-02 We bought this house so that our son could go to school here in Hilo. We live in the downstairs unit, which is completely separate from the upstairs. The only shared space is the laundry room that is downstairs but guests will have access to it. There are lots of fun things to do and see in Hilo. We will be glad to recommend our favorites places to visit while you are here. Please be mindful that our street is not a thoroughfare. We are in a quiet neighborhood with children often playing on the street. We welcome folks who drive slowly and respect our neighbors. The Big Island is best seen when you have a vehicle. There is a lot of land to see and places to go! We look forward to sharing our place with you. This is an older home and has some minor aesthetic defects.
