In summer you are surrounded by woods, field and myriad flower gardens. Enjoy your morning coffee in the sun room or in the gazebo. Take an afternoon walk down our country lane and view the sunset. In summer you will enjoy town beach 3 minutes away by car. We are half an hour from any of the summer Arts venues (Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Shakespeare & Co., Berkshire Theatre Festival, etc.)that make this area of the country so renowned and so special. In Autumn, hike the Appalachian trail or pick apples at one of our local orchards. In winter curl up in front of our new gas fireplace with a good book and enjoy being inside on such a cold or snowy afternoon. If you are a skier, Butternut ski slope is just 12 minutes away. Stockbridege is 20 minutes away. Great Barrington, which was voted "best small town in America" in 2012 by the Smithsonian is also just 20 minutes away. There you will enjoy nightlife and many wonderful restaurants. Hosts will meet you at the cottage to help you settle in, and we are just a phone call away should you have questions. You will need to have a car to get to the cottage and in order to enjoy the many villages and venues of the Berkshires. There is plenty of off road parking at the cottage. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes coffee, teas and spices. A note about internet: We are now connected to FIBER CONNECT, the fastest internet service available in our area. We also now have two new Roku TVs and provide free NETFLIX for our guests. If you have subscriptions to other streaming services, make sure to bring your passwords and log out before departure. Note that the air conditioning is only in the upstairs bedroom. As of mid July 2024 we have added another AC window unit downstairs.
