We would love to have you stay at our home. ONLY 5 minutes from Old Sturbridge Village and the Brimfield Antique and Collectibles Show! Also, close to local breweries, tourist attractions, wedding destinations, the airports, and the 3 largest cities in MA. (one hour from both Logan International and Bradley International Airports.) Perfect for couples, singles, or business travelers. In-law unit including 3 rooms with a bedroom, living room and kitchenette, as well as private bathroom with shower. Full sized bed with a roll-a-way twin available. This walk-out basement "apartment" has the essentials to make you stay more enjoyable. Included are a microwave, refrigerator and regular and Keurig coffee pot! “Continental" style breakfast including instant oatmeal, granola bars, fruit and yogurt. It also has a private patio should you like to sit outside. This would be a nice place to smoke if you happen to be a smoker. PLEASE NOTE! We DO NOT have air conditioning! The space typically runs about 68-72 degrees in the summer and is quite comfortable with the dehumidifier running and we do provide fans, but with a multi-day heat wave, it may be a bit warmer. There is a private entrance which is accessible through the backyard. This is a partial gravel/grassy lawn area which all together is approximately 75 feet from where you park to where you enter the apartment. During winter months we may prefer you come through the house depending how much snow/ice there is! We are happy to chat with you, give advice about places to visit etc. but also want you to have privacy should you desire it. In the rare case that we are called out of town we always have someone here at the house taking care of the animals and YOU! We live in a development but here in Brimfield we have an acre and a half minimum requirement for building homes so we have plenty of privacy. In addition this neighborhood is made up of colonial reproductions so is quite unique. Also, a half mile down the street is Long Pond which is public access. Less than 2 miles from the Main St. in Sturbridge, there is so much to do. Antique shops, Old Sturbridge Village, Restaurants etc. Also 3 times a year is the Brimfield Antiques and Collectibles Show in Brimfield, MA. They are held in May, July and September. Our street is very dark as we have no street lights. The directions are very important to note and it would be even more helpful to have perused the photos of the backyard where you will enter to reach your lower level patio. We have solar lights and we try very hard to remember to put on all outside lights to also help you navigate should you arrive in the evening, but sometimes we are out and not home in time to do so. Please also remember that this home is owner-occupied and we reside on the floors above you. We are extremely conscientious and try our very best to walk quietly etc. but you will likely still hear residual noise. If you are a light sleeper it has been suggested by other guests that you bring ear plugs. Others have said it is super quiet, so who knows!
