This 3 bedroom farmhouse was totally renovated in July 2019, situated at the north end of Flathead Lake. The views are spectacular and you can enjoy 360 degree views of Flathead Valley and the big skies of Montana. We grow a variety of crops: alfalfa, wheat, canola, peas, hay, barley depending on the year. The only land in between our farm and the lake is a waterfowl preserve. Plenty of wildlife on the property and a wonderful spot to enjoy Flathead Valley, Glacier Park and skiing nearby. The location, modern renovation and the views make the farmhouse a unique property. The views of the Lake and mountains are hard to beat. This 2000 sq. ft. house was originally constructed in 1987 but was in disrepair so it has been gutted and everything replaced: roof, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, windows, doors, kitchen and bathrooms and floors. The kitchen boasts an induction cooktop with all brand new appliances. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms with the master bath having a full tub and shower ensuite. The beds are extremely comfortable and the queen bed is a Hastens bed. There is living room, den (office) and dining area along with the kitchen island. The house also has an entry way which keeps the heat/cool working more efficiently. The washer/dryer is located in the utility room. The cedar deck has a table, chairs, and BBQ. The views are stunning from both sides of the deck. The fast WiFi (600/35) and the den make this an excellent space for people to work or stay connected during their stay. We are taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. The farmhouse and the surrounding lawn areas. You will have full use of the house and the surroundings. As it is a farm, there may be crops planted for most of the year and depending upon the time of year, there could be farming activity. If there are apples on the tree, pleases feel free to pick! There are very few places in the valley that capture the views we have on the farm. It is a very restful place to come home to after any daytime/nighttime activity. The views are terrific at all times of the year and it is very peaceful at night. The farm is also convenient to Lakeside, Kalispell, Bigfork and of course, Glacier National Park. The farm is located about 15 minutes to Kalispell, 35 minutes to Whitefish and 40 minutes to Glacier Park. The airport is 20 minutes away. It is possible to take and taxi to and from the airport but a car is recommended to really enjoy the area. You will need a 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive for much of the year. We have Jeep Wranglers, Jeep Gladiators, Chrysler Pacifica minivan and a Jeep Wagoneer that we rent. Please contact us for details if you are interested. We offer our guests discounted rates and also have car seats, ski racks and coolers. Note: we do sell these out in the summer. Some of the vehicles have snow tires. There can be snow at altitude until late June! They are some nice walking spots very close to the farm. There is a Waterfowl Protection Area in between the farm and Flathead Lake so there are times the access right by the farm is closed and only for the birds! Parking is right by the house. The road on our farm is plowed all winter. There are 3 other properties that are rented on our land but they are not in close proximity. There is no hunting on the property. We do have a lot of waterfowl as we are close to the Preserve. No fireworks but there are spectacular views of fireworks on the lake for July 4. Summer wildfires are prevalent so please obey all local laws. No smoking in the farmhouse. We do not allow RV's to be parked on the property.
