Located 1½ miles north of Keokuk, nestled on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River, the Tree of Life River retreat is located in a cozy, private, walk-out lower level (with hosts living above). There's a private bedroom with a queen bed and another sleeping area with four twin beds, perfect for one person or a family. Relax, enjoy nature, and take advantage of our large backyard. We are located approximately 18 miles from downtown Nauvoo via the bridge in Keokuk. The space There is a kitchenette available (with small sink, mini-fridge, microwave, ice maker, coffee maker, etc.), similar to what you might find in a hotel suite. There is no stove. We allow dogs of all sizes (a large crate is available for your convenience), but due to host allergies, no cats can visit. We have two chihuahuas who have their own fenced in area on the side of the house (which is a good thing because they don't always get along well with other dogs). Guest access The lower level (except for locked storage area), back concrete patio, and back yard. Other things to note ATTENTION WINTER SEASON TRAVELERS (November through March)!! Four wheel or all-wheel drive vehicles may be necessary if there is snow or ice on our hill. We now have StarLink Internet. Feel free to stream as much and as often as you want!
