Berkshire Cottage - Relaxation Destination

Our cottage offers a comfortable place to relax in a quiet lakeside community. Relax at our three bedroom home You’ll be an easy drive to all the Berkshires offers hiking, skiing, Barrington shops, Tanglewood music, and the many museums and restaurants. A well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, an updated bathroom make for a great getaway spot. New heating and cooling units we offer a comfortable year round place to stay. The space Nestled on a quiet street, our cozy cottage is tucked into the wooded Berkshire hillside. Guests can watch the neighborhood bald eagle from the porch or swim in the nearby lake. Enjoy the renovated space with a fully equipped kitchen, three nice size bedrooms, new HVAC system, fire pit, front porch. There are freshly painted rooms, new laminate floors and the recently upgraded bathroom is sparkling. Suitable for a weekend getaway or longer stays there are both gas and charcoal grills on the deck and a washer-dryer in the basement just down the stairs from the kitchen. This is a split level house, the three bedrooms are five steps up from the living room/kitchen level. Sleeps eight: two bedrooms with double beds, master bedroom with queen bed and blow up mattress for extra guests. There are seven steps from the driveway to the deck with handrails for those who need a little assist. There is much to explore in the area: great restaurants, nature preserves, museums. Culture at MassMOCA, Jacob's Pillow, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Tanglewood and much more. The house is a short walk to Plunkett Reservoir where you can swim, kayak and canoe. There is a small beach area that's roped off for the little ones. But the lake is swimable beyond. Outdoor lovers can enjoy bike riding and kayaking, hiking the Appalachian trail or zipline parks in season. And for foodies, there is a thriving farm to table movement with many restaurants, farm stands and farmers markets Guest access You'll have full use of our cottage. We'll leave instructions so you can be at home in our country retreat. The cottage is designed to be low maintenance. Other things to note Feel free to bring your bikes, kayaks and other items to make your time special. The boat pull in area is a short ride from our doorstep.
