Just steps to the bus stop, one block to the nearest stop on the N.Rampart St. street car line connecting Elysian Fields, past the French Quarter, past the CBD, to the Amtrak Station, near the Superdome and Smoothie King Center (New Orleans Arena). The space NOTE: The neighborhood is going through gentrification, which means that this is not the neighborhood with neat front gardens as shown on posters. If you are looking for an impeccable house as in real estate listings, this is not your place. Use of this house for any commercial or social events is prohibited. Your stay at our house can not adversely affect the residential character of the neighborhood nor may the use generate noise, vibration, glare, odors, or other effects that unreasonably interfere with any neighbor's enjoyment of their residence. (From the New Orleans Short Term Rental regulations) Among the four bedrooms, two are in the back with doors for privacy. Both of the doored rooms have queen size beds. From the back bedrooms to the front, there are two bedrooms, a bath, kitchen, dining and living areas. The two front bedrooms are shotgun style, one with a queen size, one with two twin size Sleep Number beds in shotgun style, meaning the two rooms don't have full privacy and serve as both bedroom and walkway for the back bedrooms. There is a washer and dryer across from the bathroom. An extensive remodeling is under plan, but will take a quite while to get everything ready to start the construction. As long as the listing is up, it is ready for rent. Central AC and heat with a new 4 ton AC unit to keep the place cool in the hot summer in New Orleans. Internet with wifi for your devices. There are no cable TV channels. Through wifi, you may watch Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and from your own streaming account. The rent includes towels, toiletries (but no personal hygiene products), dishes, pots, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, and fridge. No dish washer. You have to wash your own kitchen wares as no dirty dishes allowed upon leaving. Please note the unit is on the second floor. There are 14 concrete steps from the ground floor to the unit in front of the house. The next to top step is higher than the others, which requires extra caution. If you have trouble with stairs, please let us know before booking. If you will have more than eight guests, our house next door is available for you to book along with this unit. The two units together can host a total of up to 16 people on real beds. Our rates might be different during periods of high demand (e.g., Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest).
